George and Amal Clooney looked more in love than ever as they stepped out in St Tropez to celebrate the veteran actor’s 65th birthday on Thursday. The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 and share twins Alexander and Ella, soaked up the sun in the coastal town as they laughed with each other before joining friends for lunch at the exclusive Club 55.Ā They also enjoyed a scenic boat ride after cruising around the picturesque waters on a yacht.Ā

GeorgeĀ looked dapperĀ in a black polo shirt and beige trousers with a tan leather belt and matching tan loafers, while his glamorous wife stunned in a fresh-off-the-runway Pucci look featuring a textured, multi-colored top and black miniskirt with colored detailing and a thigh slit.Ā

She accessorized with matching calf-high boots and a black handbag, and wore her signature oversized sunglasses as she held on tightly to George’s hand.Ā The Jay KellyĀ star recently opened up about his milestone birthday toĀ Page Six, revealing that he was entering his ā€œthird actā€.Ā

ā€œWell, let’s hope! Depends on how long the whole show runs,ā€ he shared, before adding that he was more focused on philanthropy now than his acting career.Ā ā€œI’m spending it more working on the [Clooney Foundation for Justice], working more on the schools and doing things that I find more fulfilling because I’m not chasing a career anymore, you know,ā€ he explained.Ā

ā€œThat’s helpful in a way because you get to spend time working on things that matter to you at least. And so that’s where my focus is. But, you know, if you get a good part, you take it.ā€

George added that he couldn’t believe how far he had come in his career, despite a handful of mishaps.Ā ā€œI remember me on The Facts of Life. I had a good mullet. The idea that I could do some of the things – shows I’ve done and then to still have a career isĀ shocking,ā€ he quipped.

ā€œIt’s a weird thing. As you get older, it’s hard to watch movies when you were younger because you’re like…that doesn’t even look like me anymore,ā€ he toldĀ People.Ā

ā€œYou know, I’m watching because I’ve got eight-year-olds, I’m watching Fantastic Mr Fox, which is a little easier because it’s not really me, it’s just my voice. And that’s kind of fun because the kids are slowly figuring out what I do for a living.ā€

ā€œHalloween’s a big holiday. My son went as Batman. He hadn’t seen BatmanĀ yet,ā€ he explained toĀ WĀ magazine. ā€œI always say to him, ā€˜You know I was Batman.’ He’s always like, ā€˜No.'ā€

ā€œI don’t know that he knew how profound it was when he said I wasn’t Batman. A couple of weeks ago, I finally showed it to him,ā€ he continued. ā€œIt wasn’t great for grown-ups, but it’s great for eight-year-olds, so he loved it.ā€
