FKA Twigs suing ex Shia LaBeouf over NDA from 2020 sexual battery settlement

FKA Twigs has reignited her legal battle with Shia LaBeouf nearly a year after she dropped her 2020 sexual battery lawsuit against the actor.

The “Cellophane” songstress (born Tahliah Debrett Barnett) filed a legal complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court accusing LaBeouf of trying to “silence her” with a “settlement document containing terms that are unlawful under California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act (STAND Act).”

According to the 22-page complaint viewed by Page Six, Twigs, 38, claims the former Disney star — whom she dated from 2018-2019 — launched a secret complaint against her in December 2025 in an attempt to get an “exorbitant” payday for an alleged violation of the settlement agreement’s NDA terms.

LaBeouf, 39, allegedly claimed Twigs breached their contract when she made “generic statements” in an October 1, 2025 interview published by The Hollywood Reporter.

The “Holes” actor appears to have taken issue with this moment In the interview, when the singer was asked by a journalist with the outlet if she felt “safe.”

To which, she replied: “No I wouldn’t feel safe. I feel really passionate about being involved with organizations such as Sistah Space and No More, to help survivors in any way that I can. I think it’s less about me at this point and more about looking forward. Just, you know, moving on with my life.”

On Feb. 4, Twigs’ attorneys requested that LaBeouf’s suit be dismissed on the grounds that the NDA provisions in the settlement were “illegal and void.”

Earlier this month, LaBeouf agreed to drop his suit against Twigs amid his mountain of legal woes.

LaBeouf found himself embroiled in legal trouble in New Orleans when he was arrested for his involvement in a Mardi Gras bar brawl.

The “Honey Boy” actor — who was seen in video hurling anti-LGBTQ slurs and punches at the men he was fighting — was initially charged with two counts of simple battery for the altercation.

After he was released on $100,000 bond and ordered to attend rehab and undergo a drug testing program, LaBeouf was hit with an additional battery charge which is believed to stem from another man allegedly involved in the wild fight that led to his Feb. 17 arrest.

In addition to claiming that the actor did not refrain from talking about her in his “Channel 5” interview while discussing his legal problems despite their supposed NDA agreement, the documents state that Twigs is seeking “a Judicial Declaration that the [2025] settlement agreement’s NDA provisions are illegal, unenforceable, and void.”

A rep for LaBeouf did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Twigs first filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf in December 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress during their year-long relationship.

She also claimed the actor knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

The singer eventually filed to dismiss the case with prejudice on July 18 — two months before the trial was scheduled to begin.

“Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court,” Twigs and LaBeouf said, at the time, in a joint statement provided by their respective attorneys, Bryan Freedman and Shawn Holley.
