Emily Blunt made a Met Gala 2026 statement with a show-stopping body necklace worth half a million dollars.
The $500,000 pearl-and-diamond piece, designed by Mikimoto, took center stage atop the actressâ Ashi Studio corset top and trousers for Monday nightâs âCostume Artâ-themed event.
The jewelry functioned as âboth jewelry and dress,â according to a press release, and featured a âstructured diamond collarâ with a 21.85-carat pear-shaped morganite centerstone, surrounded by 45.97 carats of diamonds.
From there, âthousands of Akoya pearlsâ draped over Bluntâs arms.
The 43-year-old didnât stop there, adding pearl and diamond earrings, as well as two pearl and diamond rings, to her look.
Blunt dubbed the piece âperfectâ for the fĂȘteâs theme of honoring âthe inherent relationship between clothing and the body.â

She explained, âIt feels like wearable art and captures the idea of jewelry becoming part of the
garment.â
The Golden Globe winnerâs stylist, Jessica Pastor, noted the necklace âbecame the garmentâ instead of playing a âsupportive role.â
Sparkles aside, Bluntâs corseted top was laced up the back and had black tassels dangling from her shoulders.

The Oscar nominee, who has previously attended the Met Gala in 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2023, kept her hair slicked back for her latest appearance.
Her husband, John Krasinski, was not present for Mondayâs star-studded fundraiser.
Blunt did, however, pose for pictures with her sister Felicity Blunt and her brother-in-law â and âDevil Wears Prada 2â co-star â Stanley Tucci.
Emily and Tucci both got stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week in a joint ceremony.
âWe spend far too much time together, and now weâre going to spend even more time together as people trample over us, but thatâs fine,â the âQuiet Placeâ star quipped on Thursday.
She wore more Mikimoto jewelry to the event, matching her pearls to her white Magda Butrym crochet set and sandals.
