Elizabeth Olsen and her husband, Robbie Arnett, have reportedly welcomed their first baby.
Olsen, 37, was spotted carrying a newborn in a baby carrier strapped to her chest in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 15, in photos obtained by Page Six. She did not immediately confirm her childās arrival.Ā UsĀ reached out to the actressā rep for comment. People also reported the news.
News of Olsenās pregnancy broke in June when People obtained photos of the Marvel star cradling her baby bump during a lunch outing in Los Angeles. At the time, her belly peeked out the bottom of her white button-down shirt, which she left open.
Olsenās decision not to publicly announce her pregnancy was in keeping with her proclivity for privacy when it comes to her personal life as she rarely speaks publicly about her relationship with Arnett. The couple began dating in 2017 before getting engaged in 2019 and tying the knot in 2020.
āI didnāt know Iād even want to get married or have kids [before I met him],ā she recalled during a December 2025 appearance on the āDear Chelseaā podcast. āI was actually renovating a house when we first started dating. I realized six months in that weāll probably move into this house together and wanted him to be a part of making choices, so it didnāt feel like my space [but rather] our space.ā
She added, āAfter living with each other for a very short period of time, [I realized] heās truly the most comfortable person to be around and the greatest support in my life.ā
Olsen went on to gush about Arnettās best qualities during her discussion with host Chelsea Handler.
āHeās so sweet and funny and clever and smart,ā she said. āHis goal every day is to make me laugh, which is also annoying when Iām mad at him. He does it very quickly and early in the morning. Heās great. Heās a sensitive, kind, very good at communication [type of man].ā
Elsewhere in the interview, Olsen offered insight into Arnettās proposal, recalling how he āfreaked outā because he thought āhe needed there to be a cheeseboard [and a] fire in order for it to feel romantic or something.ā
Despite the little details that didnāt come together to Arnettās liking, Olsen was charmed by his proposal.
āHe tried to go down on one knee ⦠but we were on this wood dock,ā she remembered. āHe goes down on his knee and heās, like, āOw, this really hurts,ā and gets back up. It was just the two of us, [and] thereās not a single photo. It was just so lovely. I loved it so much just because it was him.ā
Prior to her pregnancy, Olsen explained why she wouldnāt want her and Arnettās future children to pursue any Hollywood dreams until they were grown.
āHard no. My sisters [Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen] are unique so itās not a reflection on them when I say no, I think itās a reflection more on culture today,ā she told The Times of London in 2023. āBeing younger today is already so complicated. To amplify it by being a child actor and then amplify it by social media, I just think itās a lot for a kidās development.ā
