Elizabeth Olsen and her husband, Robbie Arnett, have reportedly welcomed their first baby.
Olsen, 37, was spotted carrying a newborn in a baby carrier strapped to her chest in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 15, in photos obtained by Page Six. She did not immediately confirm her childâs arrival. Us reached out to the actressâ rep for comment. People also reported the news.
News of Olsenâs pregnancy broke in June when People obtained photos of the Marvel star cradling her baby bump during a lunch outing in Los Angeles. At the time, her belly peeked out the bottom of her white button-down shirt, which she left open.
Olsenâs decision not to publicly announce her pregnancy was in keeping with her proclivity for privacy when it comes to her personal life as she rarely speaks publicly about her relationship with Arnett. The couple began dating in 2017 before getting engaged in 2019 and tying the knot in 2020.
âI didnât know Iâd even want to get married or have kids [before I met him],â she recalled during a December 2025 appearance on the âDear Chelseaâ podcast. âI was actually renovating a house when we first started dating. I realized six months in that weâll probably move into this house together and wanted him to be a part of making choices, so it didnât feel like my space [but rather] our space.â
She added, âAfter living with each other for a very short period of time, [I realized] heâs truly the most comfortable person to be around and the greatest support in my life.â
Olsen went on to gush about Arnettâs best qualities during her discussion with host Chelsea Handler.
âHeâs so sweet and funny and clever and smart,â she said. âHis goal every day is to make me laugh, which is also annoying when Iâm mad at him. He does it very quickly and early in the morning. Heâs great. Heâs a sensitive, kind, very good at communication [type of man].â
Elsewhere in the interview, Olsen offered insight into Arnettâs proposal, recalling how he âfreaked outâ because he thought âhe needed there to be a cheeseboard [and a] fire in order for it to feel romantic or something.â
Despite the little details that didnât come together to Arnettâs liking, Olsen was charmed by his proposal.
âHe tried to go down on one knee ⊠but we were on this wood dock,â she remembered. âHe goes down on his knee and heâs, like, âOw, this really hurts,â and gets back up. It was just the two of us, [and] thereâs not a single photo. It was just so lovely. I loved it so much just because it was him.â
Prior to her pregnancy, Olsen explained why she wouldnât want her and Arnettâs future children to pursue any Hollywood dreams until they were grown.
âHard no. My sisters [Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen] are unique so itâs not a reflection on them when I say no, I think itâs a reflection more on culture today,â she told The Times of London in 2023. âBeing younger today is already so complicated. To amplify it by being a child actor and then amplify it by social media, I just think itâs a lot for a kidâs development.â
