Eddie Murphy has welcomed 10 children over the years — and he’s spoken highly about each member of his blended brood.
“My kids are the center of everything. Once you have kids, it’s all about them,” he said in his November 2025 Netflix documentary, Being Eddie.
Murphy is a dad to eldest son Eric with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, daughters Bria, Shayne, Zola and Bella and son Myles with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, son Christian with ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood and daughter Angel with ex-girlfriend Mel B. He also shares daughter Izzy and youngest son Max with wife Paige Butcher.
Murphy is also a grandfather, as Myles and wife Carly Fink share two daughters. Meanwhile, Bria revealed in November 2025 that she’s expecting baby No. 1 with husband Michael Xavier.

Eric Murphy
“Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. Extremely grateful for mine!! 🙏❤️🖤 ,” Murphy’s oldest son captioned a June 2021 Instagram snap of him and the Dolemite Is My Name actor.
In December 2024, news broke that Eric popped the question to Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin. The couple later tied the knot in May 2025.
“They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Murphy said on The Jennifer Hudson Show at the time, adding that they’ll likely have a “big party” later.
Eric and Jasmin later announced in February 2026 that they were expecting baby No. 1. Their daughter, Ari Skye, was born in April 2026.
Bria Murphy
The Shrek star’s first child with Nicole Mitchell Murphy got married to actor Michael Xavier in July 2022.
“Daddy’s girl forever,” Bria captioned Instagram photos of the father-daughter dance during the wedding ceremony.
Bria revealed that she’s pregnant and expecting baby No. 1 with Xavier after showing off her baby bump at the premiere of her dad’s Netflix documentary, Being Eddie, in November 2025.
Christian Murphy
Christian shared photos of him with dad Eddie Murphy and all his siblings in December 2019.
“Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season from my family to yours,” he captioned the Instagram snaps.
Myles Murphy
Myles became a father himself in July 2019, welcoming daughter Evie with girlfriend Carly Fink.
“There’s no sweeter blessing than seeing your grandchild,” Eddie Murphy told Vanity Fair in January 2020.
The couple tied the knot in September 2023. In October 2024, Miles and Fink welcomed their second child, daughter Zuri Liv Murphy.
Shayne Murphy
The California native shared a throwback photo of her dad in April 2017. “The coolest man I’ll ever know,” she captioned the black and white Instagram snap.
Zola Murphy
Zola describes herself as a “writer” in her Instagram bio.
Bella Murphy
The youngest of Eddie Murphy and Nicole Mitchell Murphy’s children appeared in Coming 2 America alongside her father in March 2021.
“I was very nervous,” Bella told Entertainment Tonight one month prior to the film’s release. “I didn’t want people to think that I was just doing this because I can. I didn’t want people to watch it and be like, ‘Oh, that’s his daughter because she can’t keep up with everyone,’ you know? … I wanted my performance to be really good.”
Angel Murphy
When Mel B underwent emergency surgery for two broken ribs in December 2018, Eddie Murphy took care of their daughter.
“Angel is very well cared for. Eddie and Angel have been spending a lot of time together in recent months,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time.
Izzy Murphy
Murphy welcomed his first child with Paige Butcher in May 2016. “Both mother and daughter are doing well,” a rep told Us at the time.
