Drew Barrymore always gets real.
During Mondayâs episode of âThe Drew Barrymore Show,â the host got emotional during a makeover segment.
Speaking to women who had recently gone through body transformations â be it drastic weight loss or multiple pregnancies â Barrymore shared her own story about body insecurities.
Tearing up, she shared, âI so related. I really did,â adding, âThe other day, I was walking down the street ⊠and Iâve had two C-sections and Iâm so wrecked down there that I permanently just ⊠I canât wear a lot of different types of pants.â
Barrymore shares two daughters, Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11, with ex-husband Will Kopelman.
The actress further shared, âI had this shorter shirt on, and I couldnât keep my jacket closed. And Iâm walking around and I was [thinking], I donât want anyone to see this.â
During this portion of the show, the 51-year-old was speaking to a mother-of-four who had recently lost 75 pounds, was afraid to wear slimmer clothing and âwould love to feel more confident ⊠and not be worried about âdo I look stupid?ââ
Sharing that she was inspired by Dawn, the makeover participant, Barrymore added, âI totally get it. And Iâve gotta tell you, Iâm looking at you and all I see is just your beautiful hard work ⊠that I only know because you told us, I wouldnât know otherwise ⊠and you look so stunning.â
âYour body changes and you get older and things just arenât the same,â she concluded.
Barrymore, who recently underwent a weight-loss transformation herself, has publicly dispelled rumors of going under the knife to achieve her youthful glow.
âI havenât done anything, and I want to try and stay that way,â the talk show host said during an audience Q&A on her show.
âBut I also am like, do whatever works for you,â she added at the time, continuing, âThe only thing I do know is donât judge other people because they do things differently ⊠Weâre all on our own path, and we have to support each other.â
