Donny Osmond will return to the UK in January 2027 for the Viva UK Tour, featuring a 12-date arena run that will incorporate elements of his Las Vegas residency, as well as brand new elements that Donny teases will be “wild”.

“I probably have the best fans in the world and particularly in the UK,” he tells HELLO!, laughing. “It’s going to be wild. I’m adding in “Crazy Horses” for the encore, but this time [there will be] new video, smoke machines, new choreography, and new arrangements. It’s going to blow the roof off every arena.”

Donny began working on the tour in 2024, revealing that “there will be a lot from the Vegas show,” and sharing that act one will close with The Osmonds song, “We’re Having A Party”.

As for what’s going to happen during that song? “Well, I’ll wait until they see it…”

“But that will probably close the first act before the interval, and then we’re going to close the encore with “Crazy Horses” – but it will be “Crazy Horses” on steroids. It’ll be out of this world.”

“I’ve been working on that [performance] for about a year,” he adds. “The arrangement is almost done. The video, we’ll probably start [work on] in a couple of weeks. The choreography will start in September, and then we’re going to debut it in the UK.”

Donny, 68, has been a hit with British audiences since he was a young boy, finding fame in the late 1960s with his brothers in the band The Osmonds, and launching his solo career as a young teen in the 1970s with hits including “Puppy Love,” perhaps his most famous song as well as his first number one in the UK, “Twelfth of Never” and “Young Love”.

The father-of-five and devoted member of the Church of Latter Day Saints says he has never looked too closely at why the UK in particular embraced him, suggesting that it was “the right timing at the right place”.

His wife of almost 50 years, Debra, will join him on the tour, as she has for the majority of Donny’s career.

Debra was also with Donny as he performed in June alongside The Tabernacle Choir at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, taking videos and was “one of the first ones with the camera phone light going back and forth!”

“That was incredible, but she’s such a supportive wife. We’ve just celebrated 48 years, and she’s my high school sweetheart,” says Donny.

The pair have five sons but surprisingly, none of them have followed in their father’s footsteps.

That has never bothered Donny, though, who says he always told his boys, “you’re going to do what you want to do, I’m not going to force you to do anything”.

His sons have also seen how “difficult” life in the limelight has been; Donny has spoken candidly about being diagnosed with severe social anxiety disorder and periods of Depression, which stemmed from those early years of fame, intense pressure, and a struggling career in the 1990s.

“They see how difficult it is, but it’s also great, and I love it,” admits Donny. “When I come over to the UK for the tour, it’s going to be absolutely crazy. I have a rabid fan base!”

Donny also promises that a long-running segment of his tours will return for the 2027 dates – giving over around 30 minutes to the audience who are given the chance to choose the next song he performs.

“From any album – any of my 65 albums – and they can pick any song I’ve ever done and the audience for around half an hour controls the show,” he says.

It means that in theory any song he has ever recorded could appear in the set list – but it doesn’t mean that he necessarily knows all the lyrics to all of his songs. “I Google!’ he laughs. “As a matter of fact, fans sometimes hand me their phone for the lyrics, and I’m singing it from the phone. But it’s one of my favorite parts of the show because every show is different, because the audience controls it.”
