Demi Moore is trying on a new look for size.
Moore, 63, stepped out at Gucciâs FW26 presentation in Milan, Italy on Friday, February 27, in a sleek leather catsuit and oversized sunglasses with her faithful pup, Pilaf, in her arms.
The piÚce de résistance? The Oscar nominee traded her usually long, jet-black tresses for a shaggy bob.
âThanks @demimoore for always trusting me with ur looks!â Mooreâs hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, wrote via Instagram on Friday.
According to Giannetos, his inspiration was to pay homage to designer Demna and his debut Gucci show.
âI wanted to give Demi Moore a major transformation for the first show of Demna at Gucci,â Giannetos told Vogue of chopping 22 inches of Mooreâs trademark long locks. âI wanted to highlight Demiâs beautiful personality through the hair ⊠iconic, fabulous, edgy, but at the same time, effortless.â
Moore further praised her glam squad for helping her get ready for the Milan Fashion Week outing.
âAn absolute honor to attend @Demnaâs inaugural runway show for @Gucci,â she captioned Instagram photos. âA bold, beautiful new chapter begins! Thanks for letting me come out and play, and my sweet @pilaf.littlemouse too!â
While Moore is no stranger to switching her mane, sheâs gotten set on a long, raven-colored âdo since entering her 50s and 60s.
âIâve done everything to my hair. Iâve shaved it. Iâve dyed it. Iâve had a bob,â Moore told People in 2022. When Iâm not working, I try to do as little to it as possible. Itâs stressful even having someone touch it. If I donât have anywhere to go, I donât put heat on it. I just try to let it do its own thing, and I donât wash it too often.â
According to Moore, she only got âregular tiny trimsâ to keep her tresses healthy.
âI think now that Iâm older, I also know, I donât have anything to prove,â she stated to the outlet. âSo if they really need my hair different [for an acting role], they can give me a wig. [Itâs] also not as clear how it would grow back!â
Moore continued at the time, âI remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldnât have long hair. And something about that stuck with me. Like, who says? It made me feel, like, if it can grow and itâs not unhealthy, then why shouldnât we? Iâm not comfortable with rules that donât seem to have any real meaning or justification.â
Moore is all about aging gracefully, which sheâs tried to pass onto her three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis.
âI really try to be as present in the moment as possible, and what I feel is an excitement of possibilities, that weâre defining a new â I donât want to say generation â but we are what the future is for women,â the actress said on the Today show in September 2024. âAnd I look at having my daughters, and I donât want there to ever be in their minds that there is an end. To me, this is the most exciting time of my life. It is.â
She continued, âMy children are grown. I have the most independence and autonomy to really redefine where I want to go. I donât know what that looks like or what that is, but Iâm just excited to be living in it.â
