Demi Moore is trying on a new look for size.
Moore, 63, stepped out at Gucciās FW26 presentation in Milan, Italy on Friday, February 27, in a sleek leather catsuit and oversized sunglasses with her faithful pup, Pilaf, in her arms.
The pièce de résistance? The Oscar nominee traded her usually long, jet-black tresses for a shaggy bob.
āThanks @demimoore for always trusting me with ur looks!ā Mooreās hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, wrote via Instagram on Friday.
According to Giannetos, his inspiration was to pay homage to designer Demna and his debut Gucci show.
āI wanted to give Demi Moore a major transformation for the first show of Demna at Gucci,ā Giannetos told Vogue of chopping 22 inches of Mooreās trademark long locks. āI wanted to highlight Demiās beautiful personality through the hair ⦠iconic, fabulous, edgy, but at the same time, effortless.ā
Moore further praised her glam squad for helping her get ready for the Milan Fashion Week outing.
āAn absolute honor to attend @Demnaās inaugural runway show for @Gucci,ā she captioned Instagram photos. āA bold, beautiful new chapter begins! Thanks for letting me come out and play, and my sweet @pilaf.littlemouse too!ā
While Moore is no stranger to switching her mane, sheās gotten set on a long, raven-colored ādo since entering her 50s and 60s.
āIāve done everything to my hair. Iāve shaved it. Iāve dyed it. Iāve had a bob,ā Moore told People in 2022. When Iām not working, I try to do as little to it as possible. Itās stressful even having someone touch it. If I donāt have anywhere to go, I donāt put heat on it. I just try to let it do its own thing, and I donāt wash it too often.ā
According to Moore, she only got āregular tiny trimsā to keep her tresses healthy.
āI think now that Iām older, I also know, I donāt have anything to prove,ā she stated to the outlet. āSo if they really need my hair different [for an acting role], they can give me a wig. [Itās] also not as clear how it would grow back!ā
Moore continued at the time, āI remember hearing someone say that when women get older, they shouldnāt have long hair. And something about that stuck with me. Like, who says? It made me feel, like, if it can grow and itās not unhealthy, then why shouldnāt we? Iām not comfortable with rules that donāt seem to have any real meaning or justification.ā
Moore is all about aging gracefully, which sheās tried to pass onto her three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis.
āI really try to be as present in the moment as possible, and what I feel is an excitement of possibilities, that weāre defining a new ā I donāt want to say generation ā but we are what the future is for women,ā the actress said on the Today show in September 2024. āAnd I look at having my daughters, and I donāt want there to ever be in their minds that there is an end. To me, this is the most exciting time of my life. It is.ā
She continued, āMy children are grown. I have the most independence and autonomy to really redefine where I want to go. I donāt know what that looks like or what that is, but Iām just excited to be living in it.ā
