The following evening, Cynthia Erivo gave a surprise performance at chef Kwame Onwuachi’s one-night-only live show at Lincoln Center Theater while promoting his new cookbook, “All Hours.”
“Erivo took the stage for a surprise performance of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U,’ after joining Onwuachi for a conversation about chef-driven cooking and the impact of ‘Wicked,’” a source told Page Six.
The event, presented by Resy, in partnership with FreshDirect, also featured appearances by Anthony Ramos, Questlove, Yvonne Orji, Jameis Winston, Sam Jay, Dustin Everett and more.
“Ramos put his New York knowledge to the test in a pop quiz about the city’s history, while QuestLove faced his own round of questions about the history of music,” the source said.
That same evening, Sienna Miller and Dominic West attended the premiere of HBO’s new series, “War,” at Perelman Performing Arts Center.
The Metropolitan Opera kicked off its 141st season with a star-studded opening-night performance of “Macbeth,” starring Lise Davidsen and Quinn Kelsey and conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin last Tuesday.
The audience was packed with A-listers, including Katie Holmes, Frances McDormand, Joel Coen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sigourney Weaver, Chelsea Handler, Ariana DeBose and more.
Last Wednesday, Bill Clinton celebrated his milestone 80th birthday with Hillary Clinton and a room packed with longtime political allies at Hill Country in Manhattan.
“It felt like a reunion of the Clinton White House,” a spy exclusively told Page Six of the bash, which celebrated both the former president’s birthday and the work of the Clinton Foundation and CGI.
The party took over the entire restaurant — both upstairs and downstairs — with more than 300 guests filling the restaurant for the celebration.
We’re told Bill and Hillary arrived and left together and spent the evening making their way around the room, greeting guests and longtime Clinton loyalists.
The evening also offered guests a sneak peek of the beloved barbecue spot ahead of its reopening to the public on Oct. 1, which will return with a refreshed menu while keeping the Texas-style classics.
Also that evening, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Jessica Lange and Ryan Murphy attended the Season 13 premiere of “American Horror Story” at the Chelsea Hotel.
Also there was Avantika Vandanapu, Paul Anthony Kelly, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Mena Suvari, Fedor Steer, Joey Pollari and Elle Chapman.
Last Friday, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost looked loved-up as they attended the opening night of the New York Film Festival at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall
Johansson’s co-stars Adam Driver and Miles Teller were also in attendance for the screening of their crime thriller, “Paper Tiger,” which was directed by James Gray.
