Christina Applegate is addressing rumors of a recent hospitalization.
Over the weekend, it was reported that the âThe Sweetest Thingâ actress was hospitalized in late March, over yet to be determined reasons, amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Her representatives at the time neither confirmed nor denied the reports, simply stating: âI have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are.â
Now Christina, 54, has taken to Instagram with a subtle update, thanking fans for their concern and support.
Though she did not expressly confirm whether she had been hospitalized, along with a photo of her new memoir, You with the Sad Eyes, resting on a wooden balcony railing, she wrote: âThank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but Iâm a strong chick and Iâm getting stronger and better every day.â
âIâm taking a moment to focus on my health, but Iâll be back with more to say soon enough,â and fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post with more well wishes.
âHealing vibes coming your way,â one wrote, as others followed suit with: âI hope you are feeling good,â and: âWe love you so much. So happy you are getting stronger,â as well as: âThis post is so good to see this morning. Wishing you only good vibes. Healing vibes.â
Christina has long been candid about her difficult journey with MS, ever since first being diagnosed in June 2021.Â
On her podcast MeSsy, which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who has lived with relapsing multiple sclerosis for over 25 years, Christina previously shared: âFor three years, since I was diagnosed, Iâve been in the hospital upwards of 30 times from throwing up and diarrhea and pain that is unimaginable.â
âTheyâve done every test known to man on me, put so much radiation into my body from CT scans to everything else,â she added.
She was also hospitalized in 2025 due to a kidney infection that left her âscreamingâ in pain. âIâm staying here because I want answers. I want every test that you can possibly think of or ones that you havenât even thought of, and I want them done,â she said on the podcast.
Christina has been married to dutch bassist Martyn LeNoble since 2013, and the couple are parents to one daughter, Sadie Grace, who turned 15 earlier this year.
