The entertainment world is coming together to mourn musical legend Clive Davis.
The renowned record label executive and producer passed away on June 22 at the age of 94, capping off seven decades of ground-breaking work in the music industry.
Take a look below at some of the most notable attendees at the star-studded memorial service, who were present to pay their respects to the late industry vetâŠ
The âBorn in the USAâ hitmaker delivered a eulogy to Clive (the memorial service was streamed online for millions of fans to watch live). He shared: âClive was big and bombastic and brave and full of ideas, and just believed, believed, believed, believed. He dressed like a king. He was born to run⊠everything!â
The âNo Oneâ singer became particularly emotional while delivering her eulogy to the man who has largely been seen as responsible for her rise to fame. âYou didnât just sign an artist, you recognized the soul,â she noted through tears.
âYou saw not just the music Iâd already made, but the music that was still sweeping inside of me, waiting for someone with the wisdom and the courage to call it forward. You called it forward. You called me forward.â
Also seen as one of his greatest signees, Barry noted in his own eulogy: âClive has always been there for me. He believed in me from the very beginning. When you have someone believe in you so deeply, you feel that you can do anything. I will always be grateful to him for that.â
The first to speak at the memorial, Dionne said in her emotional tribute: âThere was not anything that he ever did that I didnât get the first phone call: You will be there right? ⊠He was always asking, âWhereâs my Dionne?â Well, Iâm here today, Clive. Will always be here for you.â
The two-time Oscar winner was joined by his longtime partner Georgina Chapman for the funeral. The pair were close friends due to running in the same New York circles, and Adrien was a fixture at many of Cliveâs lavish parties.
The former TODAY anchor drove into the city for the music mogulâs funeral as well. While she didnât have a notably public relationship with the Davis family, she did once admit on air to memorably crashing his 2014 pre-Grammy Gala.
Clive was an ardent champion of the âMama Said Knock You Outâ rapperâs career in the â90s, despite him not being on any of the executiveâs labels at the time. The pair maintained a close friendship and professional relationship.
Clive worked frequently with the American Idol contestant when she came off the show, winning his latest Grammy as a co-producer on her self-titled studio album. Jennifer followed âSongbirdâ with a powerful performance of Leonard Cohenâs âHallelujah.â
