Brooke Hogan has a message for her haters.
Over the weekend, the âAbout Usâ singer fired back at her Instagram followers who deemed her May 20 Instagram tribute to her late father, Hulk Hogan, a âthirst trap.â
âTrust me, if I wanted to give you a thirst trap, you would have gotten one,â she responded in a follow-up post on May 22.
Brooke noted that her previous post â which prominently featured a photo of her bikini-clad derriĂšre at the beach â was just a vulnerable moment of her grieving her dad, writing, âShame on anyone for demonizing it.â
Elsewhere in her caption, the topic seemed to turn to the publicâs perception surrounding her relationship with her dad.
âI am human. My father was human. And you people have the nerve to act like youâre experts on ANY topic or know anything about my experience with him?â she wrote of the wrestling legend.
âGo back under your bridge, trolls,â she concluded her post.
Brooke explained in the slideshow of her post that the bikini photo was one that she âquicklyâ took over her shoulder and doubled down on it being emblematic of her childhood growing up as a âlittle Florida girl.â
âI know he loved me, and I loved him. I think more than anyone ever did,â she wrote of Hulk. âBut in the last few years⊠I think he lost sight of this.â
âI am not obligated to explain to ignorant people who havenât walked in my shoes â how I lost my dad â before I lost my dad,â Brooke wrote.
The âHogan Knows Bestâ alum said she stands by the decisions she made about distancing herself from her father but that it âdoesnât stopâ her from missing him.
Brookeâs initial post featured her spending âsome time with my thoughts, my daddy and the ocean he loved so muchâ â even likening him to âKing Triton holding his Little Mermaid.â
âThe tears were endless today,â she said.
While the tribute featured a slideshow of images and videos of Hulk throughout the years, many followers focused on the bikini shot that led the slideshow.
âFirst picture was totally necessary to remember your father, right? Jesus Christ,â one person wrote. Another asked, âwhy would u start this post with a pic of your ass?â
Hulk died in July at the age of 71. His cause of death was determined to be a heart attack and it was revealed that heâd been secretly battling leukemia.
The WWE iconâs relationship with Brooke had been estranged in recent years, with her skipping his funeral and him leaving her out of his $5 million will.
