Ben Affleck Gives Ex Jennifer Lopez His Interest in Their $60 Million Beverly Hills Home

Ben Affleck has handed over his portion of the interest on the Beverly Hills property he previously bought with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez to the pop star herself.

Affleck, 53, and Lopez, 56, modified their property settlement agreement from their divorce, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. (TMZ was first to report the news.)

“The parties shall be responsible for any taxes arising from the transactions/transfers,” the docs state. “The parties agree that the transactions/transfers shall constitute a transfer of property among spouses incident to divorce for federal income tax purposes.”

Affleck and Lopez bought the residence for $60 million in June 2023. Us Weekly confirmed the next year that the pair put the house on the market amid their divorce. (Affleck and Lopez were married from 2022 to 2024. The exes split for good two decades after they originally called off their engagement in 2004.)

“They decided to list the house very recently,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2023. “They thought they could sell it off-market but made a game-time decision in order to put more eyes on the property. They are in a rush to sell it. Ben especially wants to be done with the house. He was never happy there.”

Nearly nine months later, Affleck and Lopez couldn’t agree on a listing price for the house.

“Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is,” a second insider told Us in April 2025. “The real estate market is not there and it’s not selling.”

As for Affleck, the second source claimed that he was in a hurry to off-load the property.

“Ben wants to get rid of it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut all ties and have it be done,” the second insider told Us. “He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price.”

The house was taken off the market nearly three months later in July 2025 when the listing expired.

Affleck and Lopez finalized their divorce in February 2025.

“My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers,” he told GQ the next month, breaking his silence on their divorce. “As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things.”

At the time, Affleck also defended participating in Lopez’s 2024 documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

“Part of it was, ‘OK, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting,’” he told the outlet. “Because I thought it was an interesting examination. … I thought, ‘Oh, this is interesting because how do you reconcile that?’ I love and support this person. I believe in them. They’re great. I want people to see that.”

Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children. Lopez, for her part, is mom of twins Max and Emme, 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
