Madonna transformed MetLife Stadium into a rollicking nightclub Sunday, kicking off the FIFA World Cup 2026 halftime show with a rendition of her 2000 hit single âMusicâ that incorporated elements of âDisco Infernoâ and âDanceteria.â
The Queen of Pop was escorted onto the field in a dune buggy driven by Brazilian soccer icons Ronaldo and Ronaldinho and flanked by roller skaters, and her performance outfit was extra as her entrance.
The âDanceteriaâ songstress layered a zip-up lurex Diesel top with a sporty Saint Laurent getup, including a bespoke varsity jacket emblazoned with her name, a buckled corset, silky hot pants, fishnet tights, lavender thigh-high stockings and tall lace-up boots, all in a âConfessions IIâ color palette of pink and purple.
Stylist Rita Melssen piled on plenty of Swarovski jewelry, including a fuchsia Millenia necklace, an Una Angelic chain suspended with a bedazzled, âMâ-branded refereeâs whistle and a set of custom crystal hoop earrings.
âMillenia stands for bold self-expression, making it a powerful match for Madonna â an artist whose influence continues to shape culture across generations,â Swaroski Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert shared in a press release. âIt was an honor to collaborate with her and her team on these custom Swarovski pieces and bring this vision to life together.â
Even Madonnaâs custom fingerless goalkeeper gloves by Le Rhinestud were covered in gems.
Makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez created the Grammy winnerâs glam using Kiko Milano products, including Love Fusion 24H Moisture Radiant Foundation, High Pigment Eyeshadow in five different shades of mauve, lilac, white and pink, Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush, Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick and 3D Hydra Lip Gloss.
The finishing touch? A sprinkling of crystals at the inner and outer corners of Madonnaâs eyes, which sparkled beneath her shield-style Dior sunglasses.
Diamonds may be a girlâs best friend, but it would appear Swarovski stones are a close second.
