Kristen Kish keeps busy, between her recent appearance on The Traitors, being host of Top Chef, which she won in its tenth season, and, maybe most importantly, being a wife.
The Top Chef host, 42, tied the knot with Bianca Dusic in 2021, two years after proposing, itself five years after coming out as gay.
She first shared news of her sexuality in an Instagram post in 2014, when she commemorated her one-year anniversary with then-girlfriend Jacqueline Westbrook in a since-deleted post. Catch up on Kristenâs personal life below.
Kristen and Biancaâs relationship
Kristen and Bianca met in 2018, when Kristen was opening her restaurant in Austin, Texas, Arlo Gray, in partnership with The Sydell Group, for which Bianca at the time was Corporate Director of Food & Beverage, per her LinkedIn.
The Seoul-born cook proposed in September 2019, and the couple tied the knot in April 2021, with an intimate ceremony in their backyard.Â
Later speaking with Today Food about the special day, Kristen, who had previously shared she never grew up wanting to get married, shared: âWe decided if getting married was what was most important then that is what weâll do, just a bit differently, adding: âUltimately, we had our family [and were] doing what was the most important to us in our home. Small and intimate is our style; this was just even smaller [albeit different], yet more perfect than we could have ever imagined.â
âI used to never want to get married, because less than 10 years ago, I wasnât allowed to by way of the Supreme Court. But Iâm now happily married to the greatest human to walk this earth,â she also told Interview Magazine in 2024.
As of the year of their nuptials, the two were living in a new home in Connecticut.
Meet Bianca
Like Kristen, Bianca, who is originally from Australia, has experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in the food & beverage department of several organizations, including Soho House, LâHermitage Hotels, and Standard International.
She has since left the industry however, and according to her Instagram bio, now wears many hats in the wellness industry, including as a certified hypnotherapist, breathwork & EFT practitioner, past-life regression therapist, and a homeopathy student.
On her website, Bianca explained that it was the passing of her father 2020 that prompted her shift into the wellness space. âWhat came next was a period in which not only did the world around me feel foreign and chaotic, but I completely lost touch with the person within,â she explained, detailing a bout with depression, and adding: âIt wasnât until I reconnected with my hypnotherapist, Alexandra Janelli, that I was able to begin shifting my perspective and making progress ⊠It was in the wake of this breaking point and return to myself that I made the decision to begin a new journey.â
