Alicia Silverstone’s lookalike teen son Bear looks so grown up as mom celebrates his 15th

Alicia Silverstone has melted hearts with a rare glimpse of her teenage son Bear, and fans cannot get over how much he looks like his famous mum.

The Clueless star took to Instagram to celebrate Bear turning 15, sharing a sun-drenched selfie of the pair enjoying time together by a waterfall, with the teenager looking strikingly similar to his mother as he leans into the frame.

Alongside the image, Alicia posted an emotional tribute reflecting on their bond and how quickly the years have passed.

“It’s Bear’s birthday today. 15 years with this human… I can’t believe it,” she wrote. “Being his mom has been the most incredible gift. I love my Bear so much. I’m so proud of who he is… and I’m the luckiest mama.”

The post comes just days after the actress admitted she was feeling nostalgic ahead of the milestone, sharing a throwback image of Bear as a young child cuddled up close to her.

“Almost birthday boy season… and I’m not quite sure how it happened so fast,” she wrote at the time. “That scrunched-up little face pressed in close still melts my heart.”

She added: “So proud of the young man he’s become… and wow, what I’d give to spend one more day with that sweet little 5-year-old munchkin.”

Fans flooded the comments section of both posts, many commenting on the uncanny resemblance between the pair.

“Wow, he looks just like you!” one wrote, while another added: “He is like your twin!!!!” A third joked: “She said copy and paste.”

Alicia shares Bear with her ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, whom she was married to from 2005 to 2018.

While the actress has often kept her son out of the spotlight, she has previously spoken candidly about her parenting style, which has occasionally sparked debate. From practising “bird feeding” when Bear was younger to co-sleeping beyond the toddler years, Alicia has always stood firm in her choices.

“I feel very passionate and content with every choice I’ve made as a mom and as an activist,” she said in a past interview. “Anyone who has issues with it can have them, it doesn’t affect me.”

The pair also follow a largely vegan lifestyle, although Alicia has said she encourages flexibility when Bear is with friends.

“When he is with other kids who are eating regular pizza,  if there’s no vegan pizza, I want him to have the pizza,” she explained. “I know other vegans might not agree with that… but I don’t care.”
