Looking for a cosy crime drama to get stuck into? Disney+ might just have the answer.
The new Spanish whodunnit, If It’s Tuesday, It’s Murder, follows a group of Spanish tourists, whose week-long holiday in Lisbon is derailed when one of them is murdered.
Much like Agatha Christie’s mysteries, the series focuses on a small group of diverse suspects, all of whom are hiding something. If you like light-hearted, comedic mysteries like Only Murders in the Building, it might be worth checking this one out.
But first, find out more about the series below…
What is If It’s Tuesday, It’s Murder about?
The seven-part series follows an eclectic group of Spanish tourists on a week-long holiday in Lisbon. When one of the group is murdered the day after their arrival, the four remaining travellers set out to uncover the identity of the killer – and whether it could be one of them.
The synopsis continues: “This team of devoted true-crime and mystery-novel fans will have to face the police, a roster of suspects, the threat of being expelled from the trip, and their own hidden truths as the days slip away before they have to leave Lisbon.”
Who stars in the show?
The series is led by Spanish and Portuguese actors, including Álex García, Inma Cuesta, Ana Wagener, Pedro Casablanc and Biel Montoro.
What have critics said about the drama?
The Guardian described the show as a “breezy crime-fighting adventure,” while noting its “ludicrous” premise. Meanwhile, the Daily Mail said the series was “fun to watch”.
