Zosia Mamet and her husband Evan Jonigkeit once shared their home with one of his exes — and the actress was “totally fine” with it!

The Girls alum, 36, appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna on Dec. 13 to promote her new show, Laid, and was asked, “Are you friends with your exes?”

“I sadly am not that evolved and/or they were such terrible relationships that they just crashed and burned. My husband, however, maintains friendships will all of his exes,” Mamet told co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.

Those ongoing relationships don’t bother her, Mamet insisted, explaining, “We are not jealous people.”

“Weirdly enough, when we first started dating, I was like, ‘Wait, this is weird, right?’ And then I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s actually just really nice,’ ” she recounted.

That mindset led to Jonigkeit’s former partner moving in to their New York City brownstone for a time.

“[The ex had] gotten married and had a baby and her husband was coming to do a play on Broadway,” Mamet said. “Last minute he’d gotten the job and they couldn’t find an apartment and we happened to have this brownstone at the time. And he was like, ‘Do you mind if they, like, live upstairs?’ And I was like, ‘I mean, I guess so?’ And it was totally fine and lovely.”

Mamet and Joingkeit, 41, got married in a private ceremony in October 2016. They met after appearing in a play together in 2013, and costarred onscreen most recently in 2024 Netflix series, The Decameron.

When Kotb pressed that Mamet’s claim she wasn’t “evolved” seemed inaccurate, the actress joked, “I’m horrible in other ways. I’m just not a jealous person.”
