Wyatt Russell‘s family may be California natives through and through, but he appears unafraid to switch things up.
Over the weekend, the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters actor’s wife Meredith Hagner revealed that along with their kids, they recently spent some time on the Australian coast.
He and the Bad Monkey actress have been married since 2019, and are parents to two sons, Buddy, four, and Boone, one.
On Monday, Meredith took to Instagram and shared a glimpse into the family’s time in Australia, first sharing a photo of her with a flower in her hair, posing by the water.
She next shared subtle photos of her boys as well as a sweet selfie with Wyatt, plus more beachy photos and some snaps of her on hikes with her sons.
“Living on the beach in Australia will be a place I return to again and again in my dreams,” she confessed in her caption.
“Also my hair was so good here which is definitely a strong reason to move internationally,” she then teased, after which fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over the photos.
“It’s calling you back! I mean the hair alone…” one suggested, as others followed suit with: “You definitely had the Aussie experience if you had a huntsman on your wall,” and: “Great pictures,” as well as: “Come back soon, we loved having you.”
Back in Los Angeles, Meredith is neighbors with her in-laws Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell; though Wyatt is their only child together, they are also parents to Kate and Oliver Hudson, who Goldie shares with Bill Hudson, and Boston Russell, who Kurt shares with Season Hubley.
Last year, Meredith gave insight into what Goldie and Kurt, who have been together for over 40 years, are like as grandparents. Speaking with Us Weekly, she said: “Oh they’re the best,” adding: “They’re just, like, the greatest people, greatest grandparents.”
“They live down the road from us, so my son is like — that’s their second home,” she went on, revealing: “They’ll have a cookie jar that’s always full, and my son knows where it is, and they have a toy box that is always brimming with toys.”
And despite their A-List status, the couple are truly mom, “Pa” (as his stepchildren Kate and Oliver call him), grandma and grandpa at heart. Meredith, recalling when she first met them after starting to date their son in 2016, also shared: “The thing that always struck me about meeting them is just how normal they are, like you forget within five seconds [how famous they are].”
