New details have emerged following the arrest of Jenna Strouble, including that she gave the father of her children a massage before she fatally shot him, his mother and his stepfather.
A hearing scheduled for Monday, March 30, was rescheduled for Tuesday, March 31, according to CBS News. Prosecutors asked that she be held in custody until her trial. However, a judge will make the final decision during the upcoming hearing.
Prosecutors said on March 30 that Strouble gave Jacob Lambert a massage before she killed him. She then allegedly drove to his parentsā house and killed them too.
Police reported to her home after Stroubleās sister called 911 and claimed sheād told her she shot three people, prosecutors from the Will County Stateās Attorneyās office said.
After Strouble was taken into custody, she told authorities that she asked Lambert if he wanted to hang out and go for a drive. She picked him up around 11 p.m. and they went to the Plum Creek Nature Preserve, which was closed.
After she told investigators that she and Lambert did not communicate well, she admitted she suggested the drive so that she could hurt him.
Strouble said she pulled over and told Lambert she was going to give him a back massage, according to prosecutors. She brought a massage gun with her because Lambert complained that his back hurt, as well as that she did not do enough for him.
After Strouble asked Lambert to recline the seat back, she told him to take off his shirt and hat and to lie on his abdomen. Strouble then straddled him and gave him a massage for 20 minutes, according to prosecutors.
As Strouble gave the massage, she got a Glock pistol that was stored under the passenger seat. Prosecutors said she then held the gun to the back of Lambertās head for about eight minutes as she continued the massage and she eventually shot him in the back of the head.
Following the shooting, Strouble said she smoked a cigarette and then drove to Lambertās parentsā house. Once she arrived at the home, she smoked another cigarette and then tried to enter the house with Lambertās keys.
Once Lambertās stepfather, Pat Forde, opened the door, Strouble immediately started shooting. Lambertās mother, Stacy Forde, heard her husband scream and came downstairs, and Strouble ultimately shot her too.
Strouble did not provide a clear motive for killing Lambert and his parents while talking to investigators other than generally not liking them, according to prosecutors.
