The synopsis reads: “Dealing with work, romance and family drama is never easy. But BFFs Kate and Michael, who are both deaf and live in Los Angeles, are about to face new challenges – including a bad breakup, being tokenized at work and a troubling secret – all of which test their bond in surprising ways. If they want to survive the rough road ahead, they’ll have to be there for each other – no matter what.”

The series has been hailed by viewers as “amazing” and underrated by viewers. One person penned on IMDb: “It’s disconcerting that this show isn’t getting the attention it deserves. The show was also well-received by TV critics. The New York Times hailed the drama as “funny and poignant in ways we haven’t seen before,” while Indie Wire described the series as “surprising and informative, sweet and assertive”.
Meanwhile, Collider called the show “raw and insightful,” but noted that it’s also “messy, a little cliche, and ends with a questionable cliffhanger.”
