As a talk show host, Jennifer Hudson does not shy away from saying how she feels, even if it might be controversial.
During a segment titled “In-fit or Out-fit” on a recent episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, the multi-hyphenate, 43, discussed some style choices she would happily keep or trash.
A clip from the episode shared on TikTok and Instagram shows her candidly discussing why she would get rid of low-rise pants.

A stock image of a woman wearing low-rise jeans appeared behind Hudson as she said, “I can’t stand low-rise jeans.”
“Y’all would be like ‘What is wrong with Jennifer?’ First of all, I like my pants up here,” she said as she gestured to her abdomen, causing the audience to laugh.
“I’m sorry. I do,” she said. “Okay? But that low rise, I don’t know if I can say this on TV, but it makes me a bitter bitch. Okay?”
After the audience erupted with louder claps and chuckles, Hudson said, “Whoever came up with that, you can keep it.”
Many fans agreed with Hudson in the comment section of her show’s video on both TikTok and Instagram.
On TikTok, fans praised Hudson’s “honesty” and said they were team “high waisted all day.” Over on Instagram, other followers of the show said they were “not for everyone,” agreeing that they too are “bitter” because of the trend, and even suggested other fashion choices like hip-hugger jeans.
The Jennifer Hudson Show debuted in September 2022. Before its release, the Dream Girls star shared in a statement that she hoped it would allow fans to know her on a personal level.
“People from around the world have been a part of my journey from the beginning — twenty years ago — and I’m so ready to join their journey as we sit down and talk about the things that inspire and move us all,” she said.
“I have always loved people and I cannot wait to connect on a deeper level and let audiences see the different sides of who I am, the human being, in return,” her statement continued. Last April, the EGOT winner revealed what she does to prepare to host her show.

“Definitely pray. Sometimes, I even jog to the stage and do maybe about 10 squats just to make sure I’m awake. Because we’re like athletes, and I’ve got to have the energy to give to the crowd,” she said.
