Chris Noth revealed that he and Sarah Jessica Parker are no longer friends because of how she responded to the multiple sexual assault allegations leveled against him in 2021.
The actor, 71, appeared on the âReally Famous with Kara Mayer Robinsonâ podcast and claimed his former âSex and the Cityâ co-star didnât reach out to him to hear his side of the story before sharing a public statement in support of his accusers.
Noth was accused of sexual assault by three women in 2021. However, he denied the claims.
In a joint statement at the time, Parker and fellow âSATCâ stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis shared, âWe are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.â
Noth called the statement âdisappointingâ and said it was âpretty obviousâ he was no longer friends with Parker.
âThe statement that they put out â which was nothing more than brand management, really â I donât know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,â Noth said in a preview of the podcast episode obtained by People. âBecause you need to call me and hear my side of this. Youâve known me for many years, and weâve worked [together] for many years.â
After appearing in all six seasons of âSex and the City,â as well as the seriesâ two follow-up movies, Noth returned for the sequel series, âAnd Just Like That,â in 2021. However, his character â Mr. Big â was killed off in the series premiere.
âAnd I get it, thatâs more Hollywood than Hollywood,â he continued. âBut before you make that statement, you know me, youâve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didnât happen, and that was too bad.â
Noth said the situation showed him who his real friends are.
âI just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldnât have done that,â he said, noting he would have âabsolutelyâ called Parker if the roles were reversed.
âThat was hurtful, and it really affected everything,â he added.
Parker didnât immediately respond to Page Sixâs request for comment.
Noth took a public dig at Parker, 60, earlier this month, causing an uproar among âSATCâ fans. The actor posted a picture of himself at the gym, captioned, âF&@k new years â LETS GO!!!!â
When one fan asked, âYou mean fâk SJP & her award right? lolâ â referencing Parker receiving the 2026 Carol Burnett Award two days prior â Noth replied, âRight.â
But he later walked back the insult, writing on Instagram, âThe off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. Itâs not news.â
Back in 2023, Noth once again denied the sexual assault allegations against him, but did admit to cheating on his wife, Tara Wilson.
He and Wilson have been married since April 2012, and share two sons together: Orion, 18, and Keats, 5.
Noth insisted that the sexual encounters outside his marriage were consensual.
âI strayed on my wife, and itâs devastating to her and not a very pretty picture,â he told USA Today. âWhat it isnât is a crime.â
