One of the reasons we love Anne Hathaway so much is that her jovial, infectious personality shines through in everything she does  – the kind of charm that makes you wish you were in her friendship circle. At the 2026 Oscars, it was her on-stage skit with Anna Wintour that had viewers in hysterics, as the pair recreated an iconic The Devil Wears Prada moment, with Anna stepping into Meryl Streep‘s formidable role of Miranda Priestly, calling Anne ‘Emily’ and snubbing her question about her outfit for the evening.

But while the playful cameo had the audience laughing, the fashion and beauty magpies here on the H! Fashion team couldn’t help but fixate on something else, too: Anne’s impeccable glam. Paired with her stunning gown and scene-stealing stage moment, her beauty look cemented itself as one of the night’s standout moments.

Anne oozed glamour in a black strapless floral gown by Valentino – a fitting tribute to the late designer, with whom she worked closely over the years. The florals felt particularly ironic given Miranda Priestly’s famously sarcastic “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking” line in the cult film. A happy accident or a clever stylistic nod? We’ll let you decide.

For beauty, she opted for soft, romantic tones that subtly mirrored the delicate florals embroidered across her dress. A warm peachy blush, glossy rose-toned lips, and softly bronzed eyes echoed the blush and cream hues of the flowers, creating a perfectly cohesive palette. The fresh, luminous finish felt especially fitting for the season too – effortless, rosy shades that make for the ultimate spring beauty inspiration.

The 43-year-old wasn’t the only star to match the colours of her dress to her glam; Chase Infiniti proved the power of a coordinated fashion and beauty moment not once, but twice when attending her first-ever Academy Awards. To match her silk frilled lavender Louis Vuitton gown, she paired the dreamy shade with equally delicate lilac-tinged eye glam.

She then did the same for her navy LV dress for the after party

Later in the evening, for the afterparty, she switched into a deep navy gown also by Louis Vuitton, and her beauty look followed suit. The softer pastel tones gave way to something a little moodier and more evening-appropriate, with subtly deepened eye makeup and a richer lip that complemented the darker hue of the dress. It was a seamless transition from ethereal to sultry, and a perfect example of how adjusting your glam to echo your outfit can completely transform a look.

Sinners actress Jaymie Lawson also opted for a thick lick of cobalt blue eyeliner to match her incredible glitzy Loewe gown.
