In the land of country music, stars can stand to earn big bucks thanks to record sales, merchandising, and tours. Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood are just some of the biggest names in the industry, with these three musicians having managed to crack the code and build their own empires.
The mother of three revealed in her album announcement that she was inspired to write the record after âan experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomedâ.
Fans have speculated that she was referring to the performance of her song âDaddy Lessonsâ alongside The Chicks at the 2016 Country Music Awards, which drew backlash due to her status as a pop star and R&B singer.
She also sold an estimated $50 million in merchandise during the tour, and reportedly brought in a total earning of $148 million in 2025 before taxes, as per Forbes.Â
