Meri Brown got her groove back during season 20 of Sister Wives and part of her new spark is thanks to love interest Ron.
“Ron looks like he takes care of himself. He likes dogs. He likes to travel and he’s six feet tall. And he’s handsome, so there’s that,” Meri said during a November 2025 episode of Sister Wives after first connecting with Ron during a speed dating event. (She has kept most details about him, including his last name, to herself.)
Throughout season 20 of the TLC series, Meri talked about her new man on several occasions, — and during part 4 of the Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special that aired in February 2025, she gave more hints as to whether Ron was in fact her boyfriend.
“Have you looked at him? He’s cute,” Meri gushed to host Sukanya Krishnan, but she refused to kiss and tell.
When asked when they were going on another date, Meri replied, “Ron and I don’t date. Ron and I hang out and enjoy each other’s company.”

When Did Ron Make His ‘Sister Wives’ Debut?
Ron’s speed dating session was shown during season 20, episode 2, which aired in November 2025. He was later featured during a December 2025 episode of the TLC series when he visited Meri Brown at her bed and breakfast for a fundraiser she was doing for a friend.
Does Ron Have Any Children?
“I have three kids. They’re all in their 20s. They’re very independent. I love my kids,” Ron shared with Meri Brown during their speed dating session. “I have a grandson, which is fun. I do love dogs. I love to travel.”
What Has Ron Said About Meri Brown on ‘Sister Wives’?
“When I met Meri I thought she was really attractive and very nice. She was easy to talk to. I really like her eyes. I liked her hair,” Ron told the cameras after their speed date ended. “She kinda has a striking look to her, which is really nice. I thought she was very attentive. She’s a great communicator.”
He added, “I can tell Meri’s just really genuine and a great person.”
During a December 2025 episode, Ron further explained, “It’s different dating in your 50s. I love it when you meet someone who’s genuine and very nice and easy to talk to. With Meri, just her inviting me down here [for her fundraiser] made me feel great. She let me help.”
After Ron and Meri Brown spent time together in Utah for her fundraiser, they also enjoyed a hike date that was shown during the same episode.
“I think you’re very witty. You’re very funny,” Ron told Meri on the date. “I’m happy too. This is a good place to be.”
What Has Meri Brown Said About Ron on the Show?
After Ron came to Utah in support of a fundraising event Meri Brown helped coordinate, she couldn’t help but smile while discussing their connection. “I’m glad Ron came. I think it’s cute that he’s like, ‘Oh, what can I do to help,’ and he’s just helping,” she said during the December 2025 episode. “It was super fun. It was a really good day. And Ron came and that was super fun too. … He fits.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Meri told the cameras, “Ron and I definitely have a connection. We both have shared with each other, there’s a reason why we’re in each other’s lives. What that reason is remains to be seen.”
While it appeared on season 20 of Sister Wives that Meri and Ron were officially dating, she played down the seriousness of their relationship during the February 2026 reunion special.
“I am happy. Ron is a really cool guy. I’m very comfortable hanging out with him,” she explained. “Ron and I are building this really cool friendship. It’s really cool. I really love that I can be myself around him.”
Does Meri Brown’s BFF Jenn Sullivan Like Ron?
“I thought he was a really nice guy when I first met him at speed dating,” Jenn Sullivan told the cameras during a December 2025 episode after Ron came to town for their group fundraiser. “And I thought, ‘You know what, [he and Meri] would get along really well’ — and they tend to, so it worked out really well.”
During the February 2026 Sister Wives reunion episode, Jenn added, “I do like Ron. He’s a really nice person.”
Has Ron Met Meri Brown’s Ex-Husband Kody Brown?
Kody Brown has not met Ron — at least not while filming the TLC series. However, he did get to see Meri Brown go on a date with Ron during part 4 of the Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special in February 2026 and was supportive of their connection.
“It looked like a lot of fun. There’s some good energy there. It looked great,” Kody said of the hiking outing Meri and Ron had onscreen. “It’s this exciting experience when you first meet people. I mean, it’s like it’s just really cute.”
Kody was married to Meri from 1990 to 2014 before he divorced her to legally wed fourth wife Robyn Brown and adopt her three children from a prior marriage. Kody and Meri remained in a spiritual marriage for nearly 10 more years, announcing their split in January 2023.
Despite their messy breakup, Kody was hopeful that Meri and Ron would have a better chance at a future.
“Whether they work or not, it’s like there’s this excitement that you kind of get watching it. I haven’t seen a lot of that in a long time, you know what I mean?” Kody said. “It’s so fun. It’s like seeing her in a happy element.”
