Jake Elliott has been married to his wife Annie Elliott since 2020, but they first met in middle school.

Today, Jake is known as one of the best kickers in the NFL — nicknamed Jake “The Make” for his ability to make field goals — having helped lead his Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory in 2018 and two more Super Bowl appearances in 2023 and 2025. But before Jake became a kicker in high school, he was a basketball player at McClure Junior High School where he met a cheerleader named Annie.

Annie and Jake’s relationship didn’t start out romantically, but after he wrapped up a four-year career as a kicker at the University of Memphis and Annie graduated from Auburn Univeristy, they began seeing each other. When Jake proposed in 2019, Annie joked about how he was her middle school crush while referencing his career.

“I sure did out-kick my coverage
I’m the luckiest girl in the world!” Annie wrote on Instagram in June 2019 after Jake proposed. “Never give up on a middle school crush.”

Annie regularly attends Eagles games to support Jake and often posts pictures celebrating his accomplishments. She is also close friends with Not Gonna Lie host Kylie Kelce, the wife of former Eagles center Jason Kelce.

In July 2023, Jake and Annie welcomed their son, Beau, five months after Jake played in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jake wrote about his appreciation for Annie’s maternal instincts during Beau’s first year of life in an Instagram post featuring pictures of his wife and son.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mama out there. Can’t express how proud I am of watching you navigate this first year of being a Mom. Beau and I Love you!!” Jake wrote on Instagram.

So who is Jake Elliott’s wife? Here’s everything to know about Annie Elliott and her relationship with the Super Bowl Champion kicker.

They first met while at McClure Junior High School, which is where Jake proposed in 2019

Jake first met Annie in middle school when they attended McClure Junior High School in Illinois, although they were just friends. At the time, Jake was a basketball player and Annie was a cheerleader. The couple didn’t become involved romantically until the summer after college after Jake graduated from Memphis and she graduated from Auburn.

In 2019, Jake proposed in the gym of their former school under the guise of telling Annie they were going to shoot hoops with his old coach. The coach left the room as Jake walked Annie to the gym’s stage, where a boombox sat.

“I wonder if this thing has any old middle-school slow-dance songs,” Jake said to Annie according to Philly Mag.

Jake hit play, led Annie to the middle of the room, got down on one knee and the rest is history.

Annie earned her master’s degree from Auburn with Jake there to celebrate

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree from Auburn in 2017, Annie continued her education and got her Master of Science from Auburn in 2019. She celebrated the occasion by posting a picture of herself in a cap and gown beside Jake and their two dogs, with their dog Willy also dressed in graduation attire.

“Another doggie + about 30 trips back and forth to Auburn later
I’ve finally mastered graduate school! đŸŸđŸ‘©đŸœâ€đŸŽ“đŸŽ‰ #masterofscience,” Annie wrote on Instagram.

Jake also congratulated his then-girlfriend on her achievement and expressed excitement that she would no longer have to travel back and forth from Philadelphia to Auburn.

“Congrats to this Master on finishing Grad school and FINALLY making the move up to philly!! So excited to have you and @willy.from.philly here for good! @annietimyan,” Jake wrote on Instagram.

Annie and Jake married in 2020

After a 2019 proposal, Annie and Jake got married on March 7, 2020, at the Fairmount Park Horticultural Center in Philadelphia. They had some superstar guests including Jason Kelce, Kylie Kelce — who was one of Annie’s bridesmaids — and even their dog Willow.

For their wedding song, they chose Lifehouse’s classic slow dance number “You and Me” from the 2000s.

“As a couple who met in middle school,” Annie told Philly Mag, “we felt it was important to use a somewhat cheesy slow dance from that time of our lives.”

They have one son together

Annie and Jake welcomed their son Beau on July 29, 2023. The couple shared a photo of their first child on Instagram to announce his birth.

“The best early bird special,” they wrote on their joint Instagram post. “Welcome to the world Beau! 💙.”

Beau has given Jake added motivation and perspective in his career, knowing he gets to come home and be a dad regularly at the end of the day and at the end of the season. In fact, he credited his career year — in which he was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week three times — to his son.

“I think it makes me not taking coming in here for granted,” Jake told the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. “I really enjoy my time here and then when I want to go home, I can kind of get away from it all and be a dad and be a part of the family and I think that’s been good for my overall balance between football and family.”

“I definitely think that’s always kind of in the back of your head, you know, just kind of thinking of your son back and really what you’re doing this for and understanding that it’s a long season,” Jake continued. “It’s hard to be away, but knowing that at the end of this there is a greater good and I get to go home – hopefully four weeks from now – and get to be a full-time father for a bunch of months.”

Annie is Jake’s biggest supporter

Whenever Jake achieves success on the field with the Eagles, Annie can be spotted nearby celebrating alongside him. Jake had a breakout rookie season, kicking a 61-yard game-winning field goal — the all-time rookie record — and playing a crucial role in leading the Eagles to victory in the 2018 Super Bowl against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

“How’s that for a PHI-rst SUPERBOWL!!! #flyeaglesfly🩅,” Annie wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her beside Jake on the field as he held the Lombardi Trophy.

Annie has continued supporting Jake in his career, with Jake sharing some photos on Instagram of the couple celebrating after leading the Eagles back to the Super Bowl in 2023. “Back to the big dance đŸ•șđŸ•șAZ bound #LVII,” Jake wrote in the caption.

After Jake helped lead the Eagles to yet another Super Bowl in 2025, she posted a candid video on Instagram of Jake celebrating the Eagles’ NFC championship win with Beau on his shoulders as confetti rained down around him. The post was captioned, “Down to the Bayou,” referencing the 2025 Super Bowl taking place in New Orleans, so she continued the caption in her follow-up post featuring herself, Jake and Beau holding the NFC championship trophy together.

“Down to Bayou pt. 2 💚🩅🎊,” Annie wrote on Instagram.

Annie is close friends with Kylie Kelce

Aside from Kylie having been one of Annie’s bridesmaids, the famous friends frequently post photos of themselves together on social media.

One of these instances came when Kylie co-hosted the 2023 EaGals Holiday Party with Annie and Eagles linebacker Rick Lovato’s wife, Jordan Lovato, for Eagles players’ wives and girlfriends. Kylie posted a photo on Instagram about the party featuring everyone decked out in Eagles colors while shouting out Annie for being a great co-host.

“ ‘Tis the season! đŸŽ„â›„ïž. Shout out to our lovely hostess @jordanbrittlovato And co-host @annieelliott_,” Kylie wrote in the caption.

Another notable moment in their friendship came when Annie attended the premiere of Jason’s Amazon Prime Video documentary Kelce to support Kylie.

“This family is the real deal,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from the carpet. “What a phenomenal film capturing a family story, the insane ride of last football season, and the best city. @kykelce – your authenticity is adored. I’m your forever ~fan~
Go watch Kelce on @primevideo !”
