Can you even call yourself one of the world’s richest billionaires if your mega-yacht isn’t parked off the shores of St. Barts each New Year’s Eve?

For decades, the rich and famous (Leo DiCaprio! Jeff Bezos!) have rung in the New Year at the tony Caribbean island, and this year is no exception.

From hosting private events for friends on their swanky ships to heading to shore for performances and parties at luxury hotels (this year, Swedish House Mafia will be playing under the stars at the Gyp Sea Hotel), the wealthy love to come and play in the sun this time of year.

Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti have already been spotted swimming on the isle, and TAO hospitality group founder Noah Tepperberg and his family have also been posting St. Barts snaps on their Instagrams.

Below, a look at who is in town — or at least, whose boat is in town — to ring in 2025 in super deluxe style.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez

The Amazon founder and the children’s book author have been seen in St. Barts for the past three years, and for the past two, they’ve been aboard Koru, the 410-foot-long sailing yacht that Bezos bought several years ago for a reported $500 million. The ship sailed into the Port of Gustavia from the neighboring island of St. Martin on Dec 29, and has been anchored and ready to welcome in 2025 with the lucky few who made the guest list!

Eric Schmidt

The former Google CEO’s yacht Kismet is docked off St. Barth’s, though it’s unclear if he’s actually on board for festivities or if he’s chartered it out to others — the boat has been known to rent for a mere $3 million a week. The yacht has nine guest cabins, space for a staff of 40, a helipad, a spa, a sauna, a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor theaters, a gym and floor-to-ceiling indoor fireplaces.

Jerry Jones

The Dallas Cowboys owner’s yacht Bravo Eugenia has joined the masses of mega boats off of St. Barts, and the 82-year-old billionaire who initially made his money in oil (and is worth $16 billion) is a New Year’s Eve regular. No word on who will be joining him, but the custom ship, estimated at $225 million, can sleep 14 guests in 7 guest rooms.

Nancy Walton

The Walmart heiress’s yacht KAOS has been docked in St. Barts for several days, and if she’s hosting a party, it could be a big one — her ship boasts 17 guest rooms and is reportedly one of the most luxurious yacht interiors in the world (including real marble floors), having originally been commissioned by the Emir of Qatar.

Jan Koum

The Ukrainian-American WhatsApp creator and former CEO had his mega yacht Mogambo sail into St. Bart’s port over two weeks ago. The ship is 241 feet long, weighs more than 1,600 tons, and can accommodate up to 12 passengers and 19 crew members.

Hans-Peter Wild

The Swiss-billionaire, who is the owner of Capri Sun, sailed his yacht GO for some fun in the sun on Dec. 28. The ship cost a reported $90 million and costs $5-10 million to run annually.

Dr. Phil McGraw

The TV star’s boat Bad Romance, worth a reported $18 million, has been docked off of St Barts since Dec. 24. No word on who’s aboard this year, but the ship can host up to 12 guests in luxurious guest rooms.

Michael Jordan

The basketball legend’s yacht M’Brace, reportedly bought by Jordan in 2022 for $115 million, sailed to St. Barts on Dec. 24. While the boat also has room for jetskis and other water toys, Jordan is known to also enjoy big-game fishing.
