The White Lotus is open for business early next year.
HBO announced on Monday, December 16, that the highly anticipated third season of The White Lotus would premiere on Sunday, February 16. The network also released a teaser trailer, offering fans a first look at another star-studded cast in all eight episodes.
Natasha Rothwell is reprising her role as spa manager Belinda from the show’s first season and reveals that she’s on “an exchange program” at the fictional hotel chain’s Thailand resort.
“I’m starting to feel like something good’s gonna come out of this,” her character declares. However, as the guests start to arrive, things appear to go downhill.
The trailer introduces fans to Walton Goggins’ character, Rich Hatchett, who is described as “a rugged man with a chip on his shoulder.” He travels to the White Lotus with girlfriend Chelsea, played by Aimee Lou Wood.
There is always a family dynamic involved with The White Lotus. This time around, Parker Posey (Victoria), Sarah Catherine Hook (Piper), Jason Isaacs (Timothy), Sam Nivola (Lochlan) and Patrick Schwarzenegger (Saxon) will portray various members of the wealthy Ratliff family.
“Someone stole my lorazepam. I’m gonna have to drink myself to sleep,” Posey’s character declares, proving The White Lotus is so back. Her youngest son, played by Nivola, seems to have a different take on this family’s stay at the resort.
“If everybody gives into their base instincts, it’d be total depravity. Like a race to the bottom,” he says in the trailer.
The third group of travelers set to appear on the show’s third season include Leslie Bibb (Kate), Carrie Coon (Laurie) and Michelle Monaghan (Jaclyn), three friends who are taking a girls’ trip.
“What the f— is this place?” Monaghan wonders at one point in the teaser. Between guns, snakes and, of course, a body bag, there will be tons of mysteries to unpack at the resort come February.
Blackpink’s Lisa (real name Lalisa Manobal), Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Nicholas Duvernay, Francesca Corney and Arnas Fedaravičius are also set to appear.
Production on the show started this past February in Thailand. Before filming started, Rothwell teased the show’s third season.
“I will say I’ve read all of the scripts and people are in for a treat. It’s bigger than ever,” she told Entertainment Tonight in December 2023. “Buckle up.”
The White Lotus debuts on HBO Sunday, February 16 at 9 p.m. ET and will be available to stream via Max.
