“American Horror Story” returns tonight, Sept. 24, for its 13-episode 13th season subtitled, you guessed it, “13.”

Season 13 of “AHS” is bringing back over a dozen actors to reprise fan-favorite roles from the anthology series’ first 12 seasons, including Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, who both return for their 10th “AHS” season.

Jessica Lange is also set to return to “AHS” for the first time since 2018; she will reprise all four of her past roles in the new season.

“This season is a tribute to all of the seasons, which we’ll never do again,” creator Ryan Murphy teased to The Hollywood Reporter. Murphy directs the season premiere; his last directorial credit on “AHS” came in 2015, when he directed the premiere of “Hotel.”

“Which iconic horrors will return to haunt the hallowed halls of 13 and what new terrors await?” the logline for “AHS” 13 reads. “Light your candles, draw your pentagrams and prepare for a supreme surprise.”

‘AHS’ 13 cast

The “American Horror Story” Season 13 cast includes over a dozen cast members from the first twelve seasons reprising as many as five of their past roles. Sarah Paulson will star as Cordelia Goode (from “Coven” and “Apocalypse”), Sally McKenna (“Hotel”), Ms. Wilhemina Venable (“Apocalypse”), Karen (“Red Tide”) and Mamie Eisnehowser (“Death Valley”).

Evan Peters will reprise his roles as Tate Langdon (“Murder House”), James Patrick March (“Hotel”) and Kai Anderson (“Cult”), while Jessica Lange takes on four former roles: Constance Langdon (“Murder House,” “Apocalypse”), Sister Jude Martin (“Asylum”), Fiona Goode (“Coven”) and Elsa Mars (“Freak Show”).

Other returning cast members include Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe and Leslie Grossman.

Cast members new to the “AHS” universe include “Love Story” star Paul Anthony Kelly, Alex Consani, Avantika, Madelaine Petsch, John Waters and Joey Pollari.
