Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes (née Matthews), are the golden couple of the NFL.
Together since high school, the pair have celebrated a number of highs throughout their relationship, ranging from a lavish wedding and three children to multiple Super Bowl titles and 10-year, $503 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here’s what you need to know about Patrick’s No. 1 fan.
She started dating Mahomes in high school
The duo’s love story began at Whitehouse High School in Texas. Back in 2013, the quarterback shared a collection of prom date snaps from their special night.
“Best prom date a guy could ask for!! #prom2013 #bestfriend #greatnight,” the quarterback posted to Instagram.
Patrick later attended Texas Tech, while Brittany studied at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she played soccer.
She’s a personal trainer
Not only does Brittany boast a B.S. in Kinesiology, but she’s a certified personal trainer, too.
She regularly posts workout videos on Instagram, sharing tips and tricks about staying fit, even while exercising at home.
“Let’s focus on our health and positivity during this time! Let’s build each other up, let’s help each other out! Let’s get through this together (while apart),” she posted in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
She was a soccer player
Brittany played soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler and signed on to play professionally with UMF Afturelding/Fram in Iceland after she graduated.
She took home a championship trophy with her team, but ultimately decided to retire from the sport and move back to the US to support the quarterback on his NFL journey.
In December 2020, Brittany joined forces with Angie and Chris Long and founded the Kansas City Current, a professional women’s soccer team. Two years later, Patrick also signed on as co-owner.
She’s an animal lover
Brittany is a proud dog mom to Silver and Steel Mahomes, a pit bull and cane corso. Much like Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey’s adorable pup, Oliver Sprinkles, the Mahomeses’ canines also have a substantial Instagram following, frequently showcasing their Kansas City game-day gear.
She’s her husband’s biggest fan
During the NFL season, Brittany can often be found in the crowd cheering her hubby on. Whether she attends games alone or brings daughter Sterling and son Bronze, she’s always a fixture on the sidelines pre- and post-game.
“So. Dang. Proud. OF YOUUUU,” she wrote after the Chiefs won the 2023 AFC Championship.
She won’t let anything come between her and a Chiefs game
Brittany and Patrick welcomed their third child, a daughter named Golden, on Jan. 12, 2025. Less than a week later, she was on the field — in full glam, nonetheless — cheering on the Chiefs as they played the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round.
“On to the next,” she captioned a series of Instagram pics after the game.
The blonde continued to power through the newborn stage when she attended the AFC Championship the following week.
