Jax Taylor has a good reason why he wouldn’t go all the way with women he dated, even if it wasn’t the truth.
During the latest episode of his In the Mind of a Man podcast, the Vanderpump Rules alum and current star of The Valley, 45, admitted to sex therapist Dr. Emily Morse that he previously used a foolproof excuse for not being able to perform in the bedroom.
After much talk about sexual health, hookup spots and fetishes, Jax opened up about not fully rising to the occasion each time and how he weasels his way out when it happens.
“Faking orgasms. Now do men do this? Yes, because I have,” he said.
Jax added, “I don’t mean to fake it, but there’s just some times where you’re just like, ‘I’m not gonna get there.’ ”
The Bravo star then shared one of the ways he’s gotten out of not going the distance with the women he brings home.
“So, we would be having sex, and I know it’s not gonna happen. So I’ll stop it early and be like, ‘You know what? I really, really like you. I don’t think we should do this right now,’ ” Jax said, laughing as he added, “So it takes the pressure off me.”
The reality star said his trick often worked because women would assume he was being a gentleman.
“And then they’re like, ‘Oh, that’s so sweet.’ You know?” he said.
Dr. Emily said a lack of orgasm could sometimes make women feel their partner doesn’t “like” them or find them “attractive,” but in Jax’s case, his excuse would be “making her feel good.”
“As a woman, I would be insulted,” Jax said of potential partners knowing the truth.
Dr. Emily tried to counter his viewpoint, saying, “Women understand that his penis has nothing to do with you. The way his penis acts has zero to do with you.”
“I would rather her tell her friends that he was so sweet, he wanted to wait rather than he can’t c– when he’s with me,” Jax explained. “That’s a little more embarrassing.”
Earlier in the podcast, he referred to himself as “a walking red flag.”

“I’m probably gonna get a lot of flack on this one, but I personally don’t think a cheater can change,” he said. “Let’s see. So every girlfriend I’ve had, unfortunately, maybe one or two when I was younger, I’ve cheated on. The only time I’ve never cheated is in my marriage.” Taylor — who is married to his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright — cheated on her before they tied the knot.
Jax also admitted that when he’s cheated before, “I just felt like it was a natural thing,” adding, “So that’s why I’m not gonna date.”
