Kim, there’s still people that are dying.
Kim Kardashian freaked out when one of the “pearl-shaped diamonds” from her show-stopping necklace fell out while she attended billionaire heir Anant Ambani’s lavish $600M wedding in India.
“We’re looking all over the floor, trying to see where it went — looking in my top, looking in my skirt, like, it’s nowhere to be found,” the Skims founder said alongside her sister, Khloé Kardashian, in a confessional interview from Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians.”
Khloé, 40, speculated that Kim, 44, lost the stone while briefly speaking to the bride’s sister, who had expressed she was such a fan of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
Since cameras were rolling at the time for the reality stars’ Hulu show, they were able to capture the exact moment the diamond detached from the necklace, proving Khloé’s suspicion was right.
Kim had borrowed the jewels from her longtime pal and jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, so she thought to herself in the confessional, “Oh my God, I’m going to have to pay for this.”
Page Six exclusively learned last July, when the wedding took place, that the Kardashian sisters wore more than 1,000 carats of diamonds, emeralds and pearls owned by Schwartz to the three-day affair.
The necklace that had the wardrobe malfunction was a statement piece set with 170 carats of diamonds, including a series of suspended pear-shaped stones.
Kim revealed at the end of the episode that they never ended up finding the diamond and said she felt “bad” about it “in the moment.”
The billionaire has experienced losing an expensive piece of jewelry before, however. She lost a diamond earring on a family trip to Bora Bora that was filmed for Season 6 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
Kim’s then-boyfriend, Kris Humphries, playfully threw her into the ocean, causing her to lose the earring. She had a meltdown over it, saying amid tears, “My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it’s gone.”
Her reaction prompted her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian-Barker, to coin the iconic phrase “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”
Then, in 2016, Kim suffered a terrifying incident when she was robbed at gunpoint at a Parisian hotel.
She vowed to downsize her lifestyle as a result, writing for Wealthsimple in 2018, “I don’t like presents anymore. I just don’t want that stuff right now. I don’t buy a lot.
“I used to buy myself something every birthday and just be like, ‘OK, if I work hard all year then I can treat myself to something.’ Like a car or a pair of earrings … I still like them and I have a certain look, but I don’t care like I used to.”
Kim has since learned to find a happy medium since she still enjoys opulent things. She explained during the “Kardashians” reunion in 2021 that when she wears flashy things now it’s “borrowed” or “fake.”
“No expensive items ever come to my home,” Kim said at the time. “I have it all taken from security before I even enter my home. I can’t sleep if I have, like, jewelry in my safe … I just don’t live my life like that.”
