Does Tate McRae have a crystal ball?
A resurfaced video shows the “Greedy” singer correctly predicting the score of the 2025 Super Bowl nearly two years ago.
The viral clip comes from a September 2023 interview with McRae on iHeartRadio’s Q102 Philly.
As she put a Philadelphia Eagles sticker on her face, the Canadian pop star was quizzed by host Rachel Marie on everything about the city, including what she thought the score of an upcoming game would be.
After getting clarification that Marie was asking about American football, McRae declared, “It’s gonna be 40 and 22.”
As for who would win, she said with a laugh, “Obviously Philly.”
A year and a half later, McRae’s prediction came true: the Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, ending the game with a final score of 40-22.
Fans were quick to dig up the video to comment on the dancer’s apparent clairvoyance.
Super Bowl viewers and Tater Tots (as McRae’s fans have dubbed themselves) alike marveled at the guess underneath an NFL on CBS TikTok video showcasing the clip, which garnered more than 1 million “likes” in just a day.
“Let’s be real… anyone who watches football would NEVER guess 40-22. It’s just not a probable score,” one commenter said. “Very lucky guess lol.”
“She a time traveler?” another asked, while a third called the clip “wild.”
McRae first stepped into the spotlight at age 13 as a finalist on the reality TV competition “So You Think You Can Dance.” She released her debut album, “I Used to Think I Could Fly,” in 2022 followed by 2023’s “Think Later.” Her third record, “So Close to What” is due out Feb. 21.
