Vanna White is giving Wheel of Fortune fans some insight into her iconic wardrobe!
The game show’s longtime co–host, 68, revealed on the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show just how many dresses she’s worn during her four decades on air.
While appearing with her 30-year-old son Nikko Santo Pietro on the Thursday, March 20, episode, White told host Drew Barrymore that she’s worn an impressive 8,000 gowns on Wheel of Fortune — a new dress or look for each episode since 1982.
“Do you ever think about keeping some of the clothes? Do you ever want to take some of the clothes home?” Barrymore asked her guests, as Pietro confirmed his mom will have “full PJs days” at home.
Wheel, however, is a totally different story.
“Because we get dressed up to work. That’s the last thing we wanna do when we’re at home,” White said, before sharing that she’s rocked “over 8,000 gowns” on air.
“I don’t get to keep them, but they do let me borrow them for [events],” she added. “The Emmys or whatever… Every day a different dress for all of these years. 42 years.”

The number of dresses shouldn’t come as a huge surprise for Wheel of Fortune fans, however, as White has previously discussed her 8,000 episodes on air on The Elvis Duran Show earlier this month, when she clarified that she films “six shows a day” for 34 days each year.
And there will be many more to come. White renewed her contract to extend through the 2025-26 season, before longtime co-host Pat Sajak wrapped his last episode in June. Ryan Seacrest joined White as her new co-host in the fall, making his debut on Wheel of Fortune in September. Months later, he told PEOPLE that White made him feel at home in the new role.
“She’s so super generous and sweet and kind,” he said. “She even brought me — because I was saying, I drink very strong black coffee and my teeth, sometimes you can see it — she brought me white strips. She brought me white strips. She went to the store the next day. She brought me white strips.”
“She is an institution, an icon,” he added. “She’s amazing. She’s everything you think Vanna White will be when you meet her!”
In 2022, White — who had rocked 7,800 outfits on air at that point — revealed to PEOPLE that she hasn’t been a fan of every TV look of hers over the years.
“I don’t love every outfit I wear, because I feel like there’s so many millions of people that are watching and have different tastes and I’m trying to please everybody,” she said, adding that she tries to be “versatile” as “someone else might love it.”
“What happens is, the designers send their clothes to the studio, I wear them, and then they take them back, because most of them are samples,” she added of the process.
Wheel of Fortune airs Mondays at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
