Two men have been charged with sexual abuse alongside Ohio “House of Horrors” parents Elizabeth Siders and Gary Siders Jr., with one of the defendants being identified as the uncle of the 16 kids who were forced to live in squalid conditions.
A jury in Vinton County arrested and indicted Josh Saunders and Brandon Henderson Sr. on sex abuse charges on Friday, August 21. Saunders, 23, and Henderson, 40, were indicted at the same time as Elizabeth, 33, and Gary Sr., 36, who were also hit with child sexual abuse charges.
Henderson is facing 21 charges related to endangering children. Meanwhile, Saunders has been charged with three counts of rape and one of gross sexual imposition.
Authorities have not revealed who Saunders or Henderson’s victims were, though they have confirmed that they were minors, according to NBC4.
Public records indicate that Henderson is related to the Siders, with NBC4 reporting that he is the uncle of Elizabeth and Gary Jr.’s 16 children. Henderson is related to them through marriage after he wed Gary Jr.’s sister, Virginia.
Virginia was previously married to a man named Joshua D. Saunders, according to the outlet. Joshua, 42, has been in jail since 2009 after he was convicted of murder charges. It’s not currently clear what Virginia and Henderson’s relationship with the younger Saunders is as of time of publication.
As Us previously reported, Elizabeth and Gary Jr. were indicted for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and sexual battery charges on August 21 for the alleged mistreatment of a minor more than 10 years younger than them. Prosecutors said that the alleged abuse took place between January and September 2022.
The victim has not been named publicly, though prosecutors said the minor was not a member of the Siders family.
A probe into the child sex abuse allegations in December 2025 led to Saunders and Henderson being pressed with charges. Authorities also looked into the Siders, which led to the discovery that they were living in horrific conditions with their 16 kids and Gary Jr.’s parents, Christina Siders and Gary Siders Sr.
After authorities learned of the family’s living conditions, Elizabeth, Gary Jr., Christina, 68, and Gary Sr., 73, were arrested on June 30. The children were then rescued from their home in Vinton County.
Elizabeth, Gary Jr. and Christina are all facing 19 counts of child endangerment, and Gary Sr. was charged with 17 counts. All four of the defendants have pleaded not guilty.
