Travis Hunter is stepping away from social media as criticism surrounding his relationship continues to mount.
The Heisman Trophy winner deactivated his Instagram account after an old video of his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, appearing to dance on another man at a party went viral.
In the clip shared on X, Lenee, who was seemingly dressed as a naughty schoolgirl, wearing a plaid miniskirt, white knee-high stockings, and a white-and-plaid crop top, appears to twerk on a man who was dressed in a basketball jersey and holding her hips.
While Lenee’s face was not shown in the video, her distinct thigh tattoo was shown and she posted photos of herself in the schoolgirl outfit online.
It’s unknown when the video was taken but TMZ reported it’s believed to have been “taken from several years ago.”
For the past few weeks, Hunter, 21, has had to defend his fiancée against trolls online.
Last week, the Colorado Buffaloes star said Lenee got drunk and cried herself to sleep due to the hate she’s been receiving.
“You ain’t never had no girl, so why are y’all talking about me?” he shared on a Dec. 15 Twitch stream.
“Find something else to talk about … Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got.”
The following day, Lenee posted a nearly eight-minute TikTok video explaining some of the highly criticized moments of her and Hunter’s relationship.
“OK, I’m going to be addressing all this stuff online because I’m tired emotionally and mentally of seeing people try to make me out to be a person that I am not,” she said.
She started by addressing her and Hunter’s 2020 YouTube video, in which she shared that she initially ignored his DMs because he wasn’t her “type.”
The Kennesaw State University graduate also spoke about the viral clip of her appearing to not want to stand up after Hunter won the Heisman and a video of her having an attitude while he took photos with fans at an Adidas event.
Hunter and Lenee went Instagram-official in March 2022 and he proposed to her the following February.
