Tori Spelling can’t live down this embarrassing wardrobe blunder.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 51, revealed on the March 3 episode of the MissSPELLING podcast that she had a “nip slip situation” at an awards show shortly after getting breast implants at age 19.
“It was either the Billboard Music Awards or the American Music Awards,” Spelling said. “It was during the phase where I had platinum hair and corkscrew curls, very like Drew Barrymore, thin eyebrows, big dark lips. And this is one I was styled for.”
Spelling, who was a presenter at the awards show, recalled her outfit at the time was “light blue, shimmery [and] see-through, almost like suit [with] a blouse of sorts.”
“At the time, I was all about tight dresses and everything. So I was trying to try something new … And I guess we didn’t take into consideration that it was see-through,” she said. “And I remember doing the press, and as soon as the flashes went off, I could hear everybody chit-chattering. And I’m like, ‘What are they looking at?’ ”
“I could just hear people be like, ‘oh my god.’ And my publicist swooped in and whispered, ‘Wait. We have to … [and] she took me off,” recalled Spelling. “…I don’t think I wore a bra, and it was back before … the nip cover-ups. So I think you could just literally see it.”
Spelling said she got breast implants “just” before attending the show “so they were very, perky.”
She explained that her top “was cut open in a way that if I turned, you could just see all through the entire side of the boob” and that her publicist had to “adjust” it to prevent more slip-ups.
It turns out, it was the American Music Awards, and Spelling was wearing a two-piece set that was, indeed, very revealing.

Spelling has had multiple breast implants since her first one. In June 2024, she said on her podcast, “I think they’re okay now. My whole intention of getting them redone was to go smaller, because, looking back to the ‘90s, I was like, I liked my boobs. I wish I had just kept them.”

Earlier in her latest podcast episode, Spelling said that she now much prefers to watch award shows “from home.”
“I went from attending and getting gussied up way back when, before kids … and you go to these afterparties … to having parties at home and just watching award shows on TV with my friends,” she said.
Spelling also likes to judge other stars for their fashion faux pas on the red carpet. “I look online on social media and just get a rundown on who won,” she said. “Call it a day.”
