Tom Segura finally addressed his bombshell divorce from Christina Pazsitzky.
In Wednesdayâs âYour Momâs Houseâ episode, which was titled âYour Dadâs House,â Segura called the split a âhorrible experience.â
He went on to tell listeners that the âawfulâ breakup was âemotionally, a rollercoasterâ â and happened âmany monthsâ ago.
âYour emotions change many times a day,â Segura, 47, added. âYou donât feel the same all the time. Itâs really tough on you.â
He went on to defend not joining Pazsitzky, 50, for last weekâs episode discussing the separation.
Segura, who has been âbotheredâ by comments bashing his absence, pointed out that the former couple have been ârecording episodes separately for a long timeâ and since âher episode was first, she addressed it first.â
News broke in July that Segura and Pazsitzky parted ways after 18 years but have remained âcompletely amicable.â
An insider told TMZ at the time that the YMH Studio podcast network co-founders would continue to co-host their âYour Momâs Houseâ podcast.
âThey had a special and productive relationship, creating one of the most successful comedy podcast networks in the industry and, more importantly, two kids,â a source told the outlet, referring to their sons Ellis,10, and Julian, 8.
Segura, however, has remained absent from the podcast, with Pazsitzky claiming that heâs been out of town recently.
âTom Segura is in LA,â the businesswoman, who was still wearing her wedding band, said on a July 15 episode.
However, while speaking out about their separation via her Instagram Stories a few days later, Pazsitzky shared that the episodes were pre-recorded.
âThank you for all the kind messages,â she wrote. âThis is a really difficult time for our family.â
Pazsitzky also emotionally addressed the breakup on her podcast, saying, âYes, Tom and I are divorcing, and it is extremely sad.â
âThat being said, we have tried to work it out for several years for the sake of our children and our family,â she said while shedding tears. âWe gave it all we could, but we just couldnât work things out.â
âLook, we had 20 amazing years together,â Pazsitzky continued. âThatâs a really good run, I think, in a marriage. We had a very successful marriage. We created [the podcast], we have comedy careers [and] most importantly created a family.â
The Netflix star explained she wanted to address her audience because theyâve been following her and Seguraâs life through the podcast for 12 years as theyâve dealt with âbirths and deaths, tragic accidents, cancer [and] COVID.â
âWe will survive,â she told listeners. âWe will get through this bullsât like weâve gotten through everything else in life. This is just an unfortunate thing.â
At the time, Pazsitzky said their co-parenting dynamic is not âuglyâ â which Segura confirmed on Wednesday.
âWeâre not combative,â he insisted of the âterribleâ and âdisappointingâ split. âWe talk every day. I support Christina in everything she does, [and] she supports me.â
Segura does not plan to address the breakup further, saying, âThis is it for me. Iâm not gonna talk about this [more].â
