Tom Brady reposted a cryptic quote about “love” just one day after news that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.
“I really think the secret to being loved is to love,” read the post shared to Brady’s Instagram Story Thursday.
“And the secret to being interesting is to be interested. And the secret to have others find beauty in you is to find beauty in others. And the secret to having a friend is being a friend.”
Brady emphasized the message by adding three red heart emojis and writing, “Love this.”
The former New England Patriots quarterback, 47, welcomed son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12, with Bündchen during their 13-year marriage, which ended in 2022. He is also dad to 17-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
This isn’t the first time the NFL alum has shared eyebrow-raising social media uploads following news regarding Bündchen’s love life.
After the 44-year-old supermodel’s pregnancy made headlines in October 2024, Brady shared a sunset photo paired with The Chicks’ 2022 track “Landslide” — which is notably about the changes and challenges of life.
One week later, he shared another perplexing post about falling short “again and again.”
Around the same time, sources told Page Six that the athlete “never imagined” his ex-wife would have a baby with the jiu-jitsu instructor — despite knowing that “things were serious” between them.
“It just wasn’t something that was on his radar,” an insider told us. “So when Gisele broke the news to him he was stunned, to say the least.”
Despite his initial shock, we’re told the Fox Sports broadcaster is very happy for his ex and wishes her the best in this new chapter.
On Wednesday, an insider told us that Brady reached out to Bündchen to congratulate her.
Brady was briefly linked to supermodel Irina Shayk following their divorce. Meanwhile, the Bündchen’s relationship with Valente changed from business to pleasure around June 2023.
Although she first began working with the personal trainer in 2021, she has vehemently denied speculation that she cheated on Brady.
Page Six exclusively revealed her and Valente’s romance in February 2024, noting that they had been secretly dating for about eight months.
While Bündchen has moved on from her divorce from Brady, we were told in November that the retired quarterback was not dating and was “super focused on his kids and work.”
