Today show star Dylan Dreyer has officially filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years, Brian Fichera, following their separation in 2025. The 44-year-old filed the divorce papers on March 10, and the former coupleâs custody arrangement is yet to be confirmed. They are the proud parents of Calvin, nine, Oliver, six, and Russell, four.
The TV personality, who tied the knot with Brian in 2012, announced their decision to separate in July, revealing that they had actually split several months prior.
âFor many years, I have shared my family with you all â the highs and lows. The ups and downs. And all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between,â she wrote in an Instagram statement at the time.
âI am incredibly grateful for the support and love youâve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate.â
âWe began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends,â she continued. âMost importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another. Thank you as always for your support.â
Dylan and Brian met in the â00s when they were working at the same news station in Boston, and their friendship slowly blossomed into love. They married in Boston in October 2012, just before the blonde beauty began co-anchoring Weekend Today in NYC.Â
Dylanâs announcement came as a shock to fans of the meteorologist, prompting her to open up about their decision to split during an episode of Today in November.

âI appreciate everyoneâs comments that have spoken up about my life and our decisions and what we have decided as a family, thank you for your opinions on that,â she said while speaking to her co-host, Jenna Bush Hager.
âThereâs something freeing, I think, for Brian and I, where â whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage â you could either fix it if you can, and ideally you would, and you try, and you try to fix things. Or you accept that itâs broken and you take this new step forward.â
Dylan added that she and Brian âcouldnât fixâ their relationship, so instead chose to âreframeâ it for the sake of their children. âIâm not mad at those other things that I was getting mad at before because, just like a friend, you give them a little more grace when youâre not married to it. And I can be a better friend than a wife,â she continued.
The mother of three then shared how she explained the separation to her eldest child, Calvin. âI said, âWhat do you think a family is?â And he said, âWell, itâs a group of people that love each other.'â
âAnd I said, âThatâs what we are. And we will always be that for you. But Mommy and Daddy work better as friends than as husband and wife,'â she continued. âAnd he doesnât care about a title. He doesnât care what we are officially â none of them do. They are surrounded by love every single day.â
