Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, appeared friendly with each other at the ring ceremony for their son, Charlie Woods, who celebrated his win in the Florida State Golf Championship.
The pair joined their son on stage at the event, as he received a medal for his winning efforts. While Tiger was dressed in a white tee and a navy blazer, Elin sported her son’s team colors in navy and orange sweater.
Tiger and Elin’s reunion comes three months after they cheered Charlie on in the state championship, and were seen engaging in friendly conversation. The former couple married in 2004 and welcomed kids Sam and Charlie together before splitting in 2010 when his numerous affairs came to light.
Despite the messy divorce, the golfing legend shared with TIME in 2015 that they shared a close bond and remained friends for the sake of their kids.
“She’s one of my best friends. We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids. I wish I would have known that back then,” he admitted.
“She talks to me about her life, I talk to her about my life. We try to help each other out on all occasions. And we work through it with the kids, the parenting program. She is one of my best friends now, and it’s all because of my kids…We’ve worked so hard at co-parenting.”

Tiger and Elin’s kids are incredibly talented sportspeople, with 18-year-old Sam being a soccer player and studying at Stanford University while Charlie, 17, is set to play golf at Florida State University from 2027.

“It’s been very different, the recruiting process,” Tiger told ESPN of Charlie’s future. “Now, you have cellphones. We didn’t have cellphones. We would have written letters that would show up in the mailbox. It’s just very different how fast coaches can communicate with the family members and the player that they’re trying to recruit.”
“It’s just a different world. Not saying it’s good or bad, it’s just different,” he added. Tiger and Charlie got a chance to team up at the PNC Championship in 2024, which the proud shared was a major “highlight” for him.

It was a magical two-hole stretch. I’m just so happy for him and for the enjoyment that we had as a family.”
Off the course, Tiger is in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. The couple announced their romance in March 2025 via Instagram, with the father of two writing: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!”
