Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims sure know how to capture an audience.
The country singer and Swims took the stage at the 2024 CMA Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 20 for a soulful medley of their new collaboration âSomethinâ âBout a Womanâ and Swimsâ No. 1 hit âLose Control.â
The performers took the stage wearing all-black outfits and brought the energy as they mashed up the two hit songs.
âMake your heart start to beat/Make you sweat, make you dream,â the duo sang together in âSomethinâ âBout a Woman.â âLose your mind, lose your sleep/Pushinâ me, doinâ things I thought I couldnât/Aw, thereâs just somethinâ âbout a woman.â
Thomas Rhett, 34, first released a solo version of the song in August on his latest album About a Woman, and put out a new version featuring Swims, 32, on Nov. 15.

âThis collaboration has been something Iâve been wanting to do for a while now,â Thomas Rhett previously said in a press release. âTeddy and I first met through our producer Julian Bunetta back in 2020 and it was pretty much instant musical chemistry⊠Iâve been wanting to release something with him again ever since, and his voice on this song is insane.âÂ
Swims added: âBeen waiting to release this song with Thomas Rhett for a while!! He has been in my corner since day one, so when he called me to join him on âSomethinâ âBout A Woman,â it was a no brainer. Itâs an honor to join him on this track â heâs a legend. I love you big bro!â
The âDie a Happy Manâ singer and the âBed on Fireâ performer first joined forces in 2020 for âBroke.â They also co-wrote Thomas Rhettâs 2023 song âAngels (Donât Always Have Wings).â
Hours before their performance, Thomas Rhett and Swims shared a silly video of themselves dancing and jamming out to the collaboration on Instagram.
âOnly one thing that make me do this kind of dance⊠See yâall tonight @cma #CMAawards,â the âBeautiful as Youâ singer captioned the post.
