The Parent Trap stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix reunited on the 2026 Emmy Awards red carpet on Monday, ahead of TV’s night of nights.
The duo, who first met on the set of the 1998 film and have remained friends ever since, appeared delighted to see each other and stopped to strike some poses together at the star-studded event.
Lisa Ann, who currently stars in the Emmy-winning series Abbott Elementary, looked incredible in a head-turning black gown featuring a strapless neckline, subtle ruching down the front and a voluminous mermaid skirt.
Dramatic mesh sleeves cascaded in ruffles at her shoulders, and she completed the look with dangling earrings and an Old Hollywood-style updo.
Meanwhile, her close friend wowed in a romantic, strapless gown featuring horizontal tulle tiers embellished with delicate floral embroidery.
The dress was defined at the waist by a wide, pleated fabric waistband and a floral brooch. She completed the look with eye-catching drop earrings and a half-up, half-down hairstyle.

Their first meeting
Lisa Ann and Elaine are recognizable to many thanks to their roles in The Parent Trap, a film following identical twin sisters who meet at summer camp and scheme to get their divorced parents back together.
Lisa Ann portrayed Chessy, the housekeeper of Nick Parker (Dennis Quaid), while Elaine played Meredith, Nick’s younger girlfriend and the film’s antagonist. The Parent Trap also starred Lindsay Lohan and the late Natasha Richardson.
A fast friendship
Both Lisa Ann and Elaine have spoken at length about their deep bond, which formed on the set and has taken them through all of life’s ups and downs. The Abbott Elementary star even credited her friend with helping her get a role on the hit show, which has won four Emmy Awards.
“The only surefire way to fail is to quit,” Lisa Ann said on The View when asked what advice she would give to aspiring actors.
“And there have been many times that I wanted to, and I called my best friend Elaine Hendrix, the mean girl from Parent Trap, and I say, ‘I’m done. I’m out. I’m moving to Atlanta with you.'”
“And she says, ‘Don’t quit.’ And she read with me for Abbott, and she was part of the reason why I got that job,” the red-headed beauty continued. “Who’s going to see success at this point in my life? You never know.”
Steadfast support
Lisa Ann was a fixture in the audience of Dancing With the Stars when Elaine competed in season 34, and was always ready to cheer her friend on.
“She just knows,” Elaine told People. “We know what to say to each other because we know each other so well. So when I start to get on the edge, she knows how to bring me back and how to calm me down. And so, having her here means everything to me.”
Similarly, Elaine is Lisa Ann’s go-to in times of crisis. “I have to call my life partner, Elaine, and tell her that this thing happened or I’ve got this audition coming or I’m sobbing because some jabroni broke my heart,” she told People.
“She just was the person that I called. Everybody has a person they check in with about everything in their life. And Elaine is it for me.”
