The Great British Baking Show’s Prue Leith has always had stylish sensibilities!
In a chic throwback photo the British reality competition series shared on Instagram, the series judge, 84, casually leans across a bar top, wearing a long elegant gown, extravagant earrings and beehive-style hair.
“Of course Prue looked this glammy in the 1970s. #GBBO,” read the caption.
Several fans of the show turned to the comment section, remarking on Leith’s glamorous look, with more than a few identifying a resemblance between her and the late actress Natalie Wood.
“Looking like a Bond Girl 😍,” one user wrote. Another added, “She MUST have interesting stories.”
“Wow! What a knock out! But she’s still as stunning today as in the 70’s,” one user commented. Another wrote that they wanted to see photos of fellow judge, Paul Hollywood.
While Leith looked sophisticated in the throwback image, she revealed a less-than-sophisticated moment in October.
In the Oct. 15 Instagram video, she said it was challenging to find out how the late Queen Elizabeth preferred her tea.

“I had to serve our late Queen a cup of tea,” she said. When they finally met, she asked, “Black or white, ma’am?”
“Black, please,” the Queen responded. Leith then proceeded to put a lemon into the teacup. As she poured hot water, the Queen told her, “No lemon, thanks.”
But Leith said she didn’t have a second a cup. She then tried to top the Queen’s cup off with more hot water. “I thought that usually people who like black tea like it weak,” Leith said. However, things went awry again when the Queen confirmed she liked her tea strong.
“She got weak lemony tea when what she wanted was strong black tea,” the restaurateur and cookbook author said. “I’ve felt bad ever since, but there it was.”
