For years, Netflix has consistently delivered some of TV’s biggest hits. The streaming platform has created original series spanning every genre and category: heartwarming dramedies, thrilling crime mysteries, intense political dramas, historical fiction series and futuristic sci-fi stories, just to name a few.

Some Netflix series are short and sweet, with only one or two seasons. Others span several seasons and call for a lengthy viewing time. XO, Kitty

Kitty (Anna Cathcart) watched her sister Lara Jean (Lana Candor) fall head over heels for Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), and now it’s her turn to take a shot at love. Based on Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I Loved Before franchise, this spinoff series focuses on the optimistic teen as she moves across the world to attend the same boarding school her late mom went to and be with her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi). However, upon arrival, she quickly learns her plan isn’t as perfect as she thought. Kitty will continue her journey for an upcoming third season.

The Perfect Couple

In this six-part limited series, Nicole Kidman stars as the matriarch of Nantucket’s high-society Winbury family. Just before her son Benji (Billy Howle) walks down the aisle, a dead body shows up on the beach — and, this time, their wealth and status aren’t enough to sweep this scandal under the rug.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, the first season of The Perfect Couple features performances from Kidman, Howle, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Eve Hewson and Meghann Fahy, among others. Season 2 will follow the events in Hilderbrant’s Swan Song.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story

In the second installment of Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology series, viewers are introduced to the notorious and complex case of the Menéndez brothers, Lyle (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Erik (Cooper Koch) — who were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the 1989 murder of their parents, José (Javier Bardem) and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menéndez (Chloë Sevigny). But while the prosecution aimed to portray the siblings as money-hungry killers, the brothers’ defense revealed a darker, more disturbing family history.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder

In the small fictional town of Little Kilton, Buckinghamshire, popular high school senior Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies) was reportedly murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), who then allegedly took his own life. Fast forward five years later, 17-year-old Pip Fitz-Amobi (Wednesday‘s Emma Myers) isn’t buying the police’s theory. Partnering with Sal’s brother (Zain Iqbal), Pip dives into an amateur investigation to identify the real killer and uncover the truth. The series was renewed for a second season.

The Umbrella Academy

This action-packed series centers on seven adopted siblings born with mysterious powers. The siblings were taken in by a billionaire father (Colm Feore), who created the Umbrella Academy as a way to prepare the kids to save the world. After years of estrangement, the heroes reunite to solve a mystery about their dad. This series stars Elliot Page, Aidan Gallagher, Tom Hopper and Ritu Arya, among others.

Marketing executive Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) is sent to work at her company’s Paris branch in this 2020 hit. Cobra Kai

Strike first, strike hard, no mercy! Baby Reindeer

Based on Richard Gadd’s self-referential one-man show of the same name, this 6-time Emmy-winning drama-thriller miniseries features Gadd in the role of struggling comedian and bartender Donny Dunn. Finding himself caught in the rapidly increasing obsession of Martha Scott (Jessica Gunning) — a regular patron who dubs him “Baby Reindeer” and begins to stalk him — Donny is forced to confront a long-buried trauma.

Bridgerton

Inspired by Julia Quinn’s best-selling romance novels, 2020 hit Bridgerton takes place in Regency-era London. The series follows the title family as its members look for love and avoid being the subject of Lady Whistledown’s gossip column. The first season focuses on outcast Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page) and eligible bachelorette Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), and each subsequent season follows another member of the family. Season 3 centers around Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and her feelings for Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
