Grant Ellis may have found himself in the doghouse during week 3 of The Bachelor.

At the beginning of the Feb. 10 episode, host Jesse Palmer announced that there’d be one group date and two one-on-one dates. Natalie, Bailey, Alexe, Alli Jo, Chloie, Sarafiena, Dina, Parisa, Rose, Zoe, Litia and Juliana went on the group date, which meant Beverly and Carolina scored one-on-ones.

For the group date, Grant, 31, invited comedian Hannah Berner and KIND Snacks Founder Daniel Lubetzky to help teach the women about finance. Hannah, 33, gave the women GrantBucks based on their responses to questions about money (i.e. how much they’d want Grant to spend on an engagement ring and the last time their credit card got declined) and the woman with the most GrantBucks would win more time with him at the afterparty, where they could put the currency towards perks.

Parisa, 29, sat next to Grant during the date and Bailey, 27, tried to play up her answers for Hannah so she’d bring in the most GrantBucks. But Zoe, 27, didn’t like the game.

“I like rules and clear-cut answers and it seemed like today it was more like, maybe try to be funny or witty,” the tech engineer and model told the cameras. “It was a weird game today because it wasn’t really finance.”

After collecting more GrantBucks in a money-blowing machine, Bailey came out on top and used her GrantBucks to cash in for one of his t-shirts and a champagne toast with The Bachelor himself.

Zoe continued to feel left out at the afterparty, telling the rest of the group, “He was not looking at me at all.”

The other women didn’t empathize with Zoe after she pulled Grant for more time during the basketball group date. “This is The Bachelor, not The Zoe Show,” Alli Jo said in an on-camera interview.

Zoe cried and ordered another drink, while Sarafiena observed, “That’s the shortest dress I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Zoe overheard the comment and wondered what she did to deserve it. “What have I said or done to anyone this entire f—ing time that has been cruel?” Zoe asked Chloie, 27.

Without naming names, Zoe told Grant about what Sarafeina said. Then, Grant addressed it with the group.

“There’s been some rumors about people belittling and just making people feel uncomfortable in the house,” he said during the afterparty after giving Parisa the group date rose. “We have to be kind to each other. I appreciate you all and I’ll see you soon.”

Back at the mansion, all of the women cried as they worried about exactly what Zoe said to Grant.

“A lot of people were shook,” Rose, 27, said in an on-camera interview.

FIRST ONE-ON-ONE DATE

Meanwhile, Carolina, 28, looked forward to jetting to Las Vegas with Grant. “I did not see this coming at all,” she said.

They went bungee jumping off of a tower in Vegas before grabbing dinner at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub. Grant kicked off the evening by asking Carolina why she felt ready for marriage.

“I’ve always wanted marriage and kids, but I think it took learning a lot more about myself to figure out this is what I want in my life, this is what I don’t want,” the public relations producer told Grant.

Carolina started tearing up as she told Grant about her epilepsy.

“When I was like, 13, I started getting tremors,” she said. “My parents took me to every doctor and we couldn’t figure out what it was and one morning we were going to school and I had a seizure and I was mortified. It’s not something that I want people to judge me for.”

Carolina explained that she’s been able to control her epilepsy thanks to medication and asked Grant to consider “whether that’s something that you want to deal with or not.”

“I want you to know that I’m starting to feel feelings for you and that’s not something that’s going to stand in the way at all,” the day trader said to Carolina. “If we do get married, no mater what, you need, I’m always going to put you first.”

Grant told the cameras that Carolina opening up to him “shows me that she’s serious about this” process. He ended the night by giving her a rose and they kissed with the Vegas skyline in the background.

SECOND ONE-ON-ONE

The second one-on-one turned into a mini group date after Beverly got sick and couldn’t return to the house. Instead, Grant invited Dina, 31, Litia, 31, and Sarafiena on a second date that week.

The foursome headed to Vanderpump Dogs in L.A., where they’d help Bravo star Lisa Vanderpump take care of some of the rescue’s dogs. “I love dogs more than people,” Lisa, 64, declared.

Dina volunteered to bathe one of the pups with Grant, and then he and Sarafiena took another dog for a walk. While hanging out at a park with a third canine, Litia told Grant, “I did not anticipate my feelings to be this strong at this point.”

Grant chose Litia to spend more time with him that evening.

“Yes she’s beautiful, but she’s also so genuine and she has a nurturing spirit about her that I feel like that’s something that I’m looking for,” Grant said in an on-camera interview. “Today she gave me a glimpse into my future.”

Over dinner, Grant told Litia about his dad’s addiction and she shared her experience growing up with a single mom after her father died when she was 3.

“To me, love is it,” Grant said to Litia. “That’s the piece that I’m missing, so I appreciate the fact that you’re so open and honest with me and I know how much you miss your mom.”

Accordingly, Grant surprised Litia with a FaceTime call to her mom. “It meant a lot to me,” Litia told the cameras.

Grant enjoyed the night, too, and wrapped it up by giving Litia a rose. “I’m starting to develop feelings for you,” Grant said to her.

To the cameras, he confessed, “After tonight, Litia could be my wife.”

PROM PARTY AND ROSE CEREMONY

Alli Jo found a box of corsages at the mansion door with a note that read, “Will you go to prom with me?”

From there, Grant entered and explained to the women that he never went to prom due to his focus on basketball, so he wanted to get his chance. And as not to be the only man at the dance, he invited Gary, Jack, Jonathan and Keith from The Golden Bachelorette to join.

Grant took shots with some of the women at prom, while Jack gave a grilling demo.

Zoe wanted to “focus on the positivity” with Grant during her talk at prom. She told Grant she didn’t have a prom date and would love to have a dance with him, and the reality star obliged.

“This feels more in my element than our last date,” Zoe said.

However, Carolina wondered if she meant anything to Grant after Rose claimed that he said he was thinking about her while dancing with Carolina during a week 2 group date.

Carolina asked Grant about as much, prompting the former basketball pro to want to know who told her that. “Something in there doesn’t make sense and it seems kind of personal because it’s a lie and it’s a judge on my character,” Grant said.

Grant asked if Bailey, Dina or Litia made that claim to Carolina, but she demurred. “I don’t want this to be a thing,” Carolina said.

That left Grant feeling confused. “I didn’t say that, so who was on the group date?” he wondered.

Grant wanted to “get to the bottom of this” and began questioning the women. When he spoke to Rose, 27, she admitted, “I thought that was something that I heard you say.”

“For me to belittle somebody else that I have a connection with, that’s some player s—,” Grant said. “I’m not a player.”

Rose apologized. “I could’ve easily made that mistake where I really thought that you said something like that and I was just wrong,” the registered nurse said.

Grant didn’t let that bump in the road with Rose stop him from giving her a rose at the rose ceremony. He also gave roses to Zoe, Juliana, Alexe, Dina, Natalie and Sarafiena.

“I decided to give Rose that rose tonight because we have a connection,” Grant explained in an on-camera interview. “She apologized and at the end of the day, you know, everybody makes mistakes. I feel like it’s the best decision to move past it and move forward.”
