Teyana Taylor’s plunging lace gown leads a daring night of VMAs fashion

Teyana made black lace the centrepiece of her look, choosing a floor-length design with a neckline that plunged to a broad, velvet waistband.

Feathers framed her shoulders and continued around the cuffs and hem, giving the delicate fabric a dramatic finish. Vertical lines of embellishment ran through the sheer skirt, while dark trim defined the front of the gown.

Her beauty look was equally considered. Two sculptural buns added height, with curled tendrils framing her face, while smoky eyes and a neutral lip complemented the gothic feel of the dress.

The combination of soft feathers, intricate lace and a sharply defined waist made this one of our favourite arrivals.

Paris Hilton embraced head-to-toe sparkle in a silver mini dress with a plunging draped neckline, cut-out detailing and fabric gathered across her hips.

She paired the short design with statement thigh-high boots, featuring rows of glittering curved straps that left sections of her legs exposed. Pointed toes and slender heels completed the dramatic footwear.

Sheer crystal-studded opera gloves and a wide sparkling choker added even more shine, while she carried a pair of white-framed sunglasses.

The singer also arrived ahead of her first VMAs performance, making the occasion a milestone beyond the fashion.

Haley Kalil chose a silver halterneck gown that shimmered from its high collar to the end of its sweeping train.

Diagonal rows of embellishment followed the fitted silhouette, while the neckline left her shoulders bare. The skirt extended across the carpet, giving the otherwise streamlined design a dramatic finish.

Lisa Rinna delivered one of the evening’s most distinctive silhouettes in an ivory outfit built around a moulded, strapless bodice.

The sculptural top featured a deep central notch and folded detailing at one side. Below it, fabric gathered across her hips before opening into a thigh-high slit, with a long train trailing behind.

Matching platform heels with ankle straps extended the monochrome look. Lisa’s short, spiky platinum hair and dark smoky eyes added a harder edge to the soft draping, making the outfit feel especially suited to the VMAs. 

Rei Ami put an unexpected spin on the sheer dress with an outfit formed from interconnected black leaf motifs.

Strands of the sculptural detailing draped across her torso, while a denser arrangement created a floor-length skirt worn over black briefs. The open construction made the intricate shapes the focus of the look.

She layered a silver choker with a longer pendant necklace, adding cuffs, bracelets and multiple rings. A voluminous updo, sweeping fringe and metallic eye makeup completed the dramatic styling.

Ciara Miller brought a different mood to the carpet in a brown leather bra top and matching flared trousers.

Long lace-up openings ran down the trousers, while an oversized black belt with a metallic oval buckle sat low on her hips. Platform sandals added height beneath the flared hems.

The Summer House star kept her accessories relatively simple, allowing the distressed leather and extensive lacing to do the work. Long auburn waves and smoky eye makeup rounded out an outfit with a strong early-2000s influence

Lisa delivered one of the evening’s most dramatic entrances in a sheer scarlet corset gown and an oversized matching coat, with her look credited to Quine Li and The Attico.
The fitted dress featured exposed corsetry, structured cups and draping across the hips, while a narrow skirt revealed pointed red heels beneath its sheer fabric.
Her fluffy outer layer framed her shoulders before extending into an enormous train that pooled across the carpet. The contrast between the slim gown and the sweeping coat made the outfit particularly striking.
Lisa finished the look with a high updo secured with a red accent, a straight fringe and an assortment of statement rings.
