Teyana Taylor is addressing her fight with a security guard at the 2026 Oscars.
âI think the first thing people do is definitely make assumptions, but at the end of the day, I just donât tolerate disrespect, especially when itâs unwarranted and itâs unprovoked,â the actress told TMZ Sunday night, after footage of the altercation went viral on social media.
The âOne Battle After Anotherâ star said that âthereâs nothing to wonderâ about the incident, which occurred after the film won best picture at the end of the show.
âItâs all good. Everybodyâs having a good time and security was just doing a lot,â she explained. âThereâs always that one. But everythingâs fine. Iâm happy.â
A source who witnessed the incident told Variety that the fight broke out after the âOne Battle After Anotherâ cast and crew and Warner Bros. film bosses Pam Abdy and Mike DeLuca were trying to get on stage for a group photo.
âTeyana came down to get Pam, and when she went to go back up, there was a security guard who forcibly stopped them from going back to the stage and put his hands on Teyana,â the insider claimed.
The security guard allegedly told Taylor, âYou owe me an apology,â which made her âeven more upset.â
Security Industry Specialists, Inc apologized for the incident in a statement to Variety.
âOur security personnel were working to manage a crowded area and ensure the safety of all guests. During that interaction, there was incidental contact and we regret that the situation escalated,â the company said.
âThis is not the standard of professionalism we expect from our team, and we have addressed the matter internally to help ensure situations like this do not happen again.â
Page Six has reached out to Taylorâs rep for comment.
Taylor was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in âOne Battle After Another,â but the award went to âWeaponsâ star Amy Madigan.
However, she got to celebrate on stage later in the night when the movie was named best picture, beating out âSinners,â âHamnet,â âMarty Supremeâ and six other films.
Taylor playfully put director Paul Thomas Anderson in a headlock after the final award of the night was called.
In total, âOne Battle After Anotherâ won six Oscars out of 13 nominations.
The movie also took home trophies for best director for Anderson, best supporting actor for Sean Penn, best casting, best adapted screenplay and best film editing.
Along with Taylor and Penn, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Regina King and Chase Infiniti.
