Teddi Mellencamp marked the first anniversary of her brain surgery with a touching post on Instagram.
The âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ alum took to social media on Monday to express her gratitude while reflecting on the milestone in an emotional caption.
âA year ago today I went into the ER thinking I had migraines and within 24 hours was having surgery on the plum-sized stage 4 tumors on my brain,â she captioned a photo of her in the hospital.
âI have a lot of anxiety surrounding today but also a lot of gratitude. Gratitude for the doctors and nurses who took care of me, gratitude for my family and friends for supporting me, and gratitude for all the love that you have poured into me.â
âTrust your instincts. Get checked â€ïž,â Mellencamp, 44, concluded.
Her comments section was flooded with warm messages of support, including one from fellow âRHOBHâ star Kyle Richards, who praised Mellencampâs strength.
The reality star revealed her stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022 and underwent more than a dozen surgeries â including the emergency procedure in February 2025.
In October 2025, she gave the positive update that her stage 4 cancer was âgone,â but clarified that she is not considered to be âin remissionâ yet.
She started undergoing immunotherapy, which her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, said is âreally hard on her mental health.â
He called Mellencampâs âinner battle ⊠one of the toughest onesâ she has to fight since her diagnosis.
Last month, Mellencamp revealed that she was turning to therapy to process the âfrustratingâ cancer battle.
During her âTwo Ts in a Podâ podcast, Mellencamp explained how she didnât âproperly processâ her emergency surgery, being unable to see her children for stretches of time, and her divorce from Arroyave after 13 years of marriage.
The estranged pair share three children: daughter Slate, 13, son Cruz, 11, and daughter Dove, 5.
Last week, Mellencamp gave an update on her mental health while appearing on Page Sixâs âVirtual Real-Tea.â
âI think physically Iâm in a good place⊠What we donât often talk about when it comes to cancer is how you feel after all of the surgeries and all of the testing. How you your mental state is doing â that has been suffering,â she told hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real.
âIâve been in therapy, Iâve been working really hard trying to find that peace, find that happiness find that joy. Find myself again.â
